Thanks for the replies As much as I have loved having the use of a car for work the last couple of months I cannot wait to get it back. There is only so long I can tell myself a Fiesta tdi is a good drive. Still has to go back for a week or so after it is run in and then I have to get it booked in for the body kit parts. I am hoping I can get them fitted as well ready for Simply Audi.

Well it looks like Regal are no becoming a TVS dealer atm so I phoned Peron to see what my options are. If i wanted a stage 1, 2 or 3 I could have gone to Swindon in conjunction with Peron sending the files down. Because I’m going stage 4 and the gearbox is already fitted with their race clutch pack they want me to have it done direct with them. They explained anything running 900 -1000Nm is more complex, especially as I want the drag launch options etc. So looks like I will have to drive to Yorkshire at some point, leave the car and go back the following week.

To go with the nice carbon fibre Eventuri gen 3 intake I bought a 034 carbon fibre fuse box cover. I decided I may as well finish the engine bay off properly and bought a new genuine Audi carbon fire engine cover and plenum chamber badge. 😁

Collected the car for the weekend to get 400 miles on it. The intake looks massive now it’s on and I have a Forge engine catch can when I thought it was an 034. It’s been so long I forgot what I ordered. 😂
I’m now stopped at the A43/M40 service station getting a drink and a KFC Zinger 😃

As long as I get 650+hp with low low and good street drivability. What model have you got and what have you done so far?

I drove the car over the weekend for 400 miles on the low boost, low torque running in map. Everything went well with no oil leaks or issues of any kind. Yesterday I dropped it back off at Regal for another oil & filter change and a full check up. Friday I will be collecting again and need to cover another 400 miles before it goes back to be finished off.

Your Golf R must be mental at over 500hp, as I remembered what my Sirocco R was like at 400.  B)

Just ordered the new Racingline rear body brace which has been designed for the Saloon. It will take 4-5 weeks to get it due to being on a limited first time production run. They are carbon fibre with billet aluminium.

Popped past Regal today and they were just fitting the WMI ready for mapping next week. The rear floor was being altered to fit the tank at the very back, with access to filling by pulling down the rear seat instead of struggling to lean in the boot or having the tank further towards the opening and getting in the way of boot space.

The line is armoured and being fitting under the car protected by the covering that houses existing wiring. They are utilising the adaptor plate supplied with the CTS throttle body which has 2 tapped holes for WMI or NOS. Lastly the gauge will be fitted in the centre console out of the way next to the 12v supply socket. I will take some more photos when I collect it tomorrow.

The oil & filter were changed this week and the cut open oil filter inspected for particles. No issues and the built engine continues to run well. One more weekend of running it in before they can finally get on with fitting the last hardware and do the mapping. B)

Picked it up this afternoon and just driven up to Leicester. WMI is now fitted except for the nozzles. The plan is to have the 1st nozzle come in at 10psi and the 2nd at 20psi.

It’s just as well there is plenty of room under the rear floor to install the pump and easy access to connect the earths to the battery. The second picture shows the back seat down for easy filling.

Are Regal doing switchable mapping so you can run without the meth?

Yes a low boost map for daily driving that doesn’t require WMI to work so there is no issue if it runs out. The high boost map will require WMI as it will be mapped with it running, including the timing being optimised. There’s a gauge in the centre console so I’ll know if I’m running low.
