I really would like to have something that can give us a visual on the differences.

I think because factory got my wing mirror covers mixed up i now have this doubt that they may mixed other things up. mainly, did they put the standard exhaust on instead of the sports that i specced. don't get me wrong. the exhaust is loud, pops and cracks etc etc.

But i have heard people saying that the standard exhaust does the same. I just watched the launch vid in main thread and thats apparently standard. i can't work out if mine is louder or not

So yes, if these little tubes connecting just before the chrome tips are the difference then that will set my mind at rest. unless there is a part number stamped on them somewhere?????

Stick up a video. I found on my test drive the standard exhaust doesn't really crackle and pop when revving in Neutral only very slightly. The sports exhaust however seems to pop a lot.

If there's no definitive difference between comfort and dynamic then questions would be asked but it's not worth thinking about until you have the car and if you notice anything suspect! The wait's stressful enough without getting paranoid about being done over on dynamic pack! :/

Do I recall a short vid you did woodstock post collection of your car? would be superb if you do another identical to that with the new exhaust on, same spot, same run, pretty much exactly the same :)
Perfect to hear the before / after sounds.

True and there is the differences in crackles and pops sport vs original. I haven't sport and its not that lively when revving in neutral allthough I can clearly hear difference sound from pretty quiet in comfort to deeper more manly :) sound in dynamic. Now I drive just in dynamic but D-mode to switch to S-mode more quickly when needed, works fine.

Well, sports exhaust now fitted :D :D :D :D !  (£1465 inc fitting and new clamps)  Much loudness for same amount of pedal.  It's throwing it down with rain so haven't looked underneath.

To answer your question about mag ride - easy to check in Audi drive select.

The RS3 8V standard exhaust will be going onto e-bay next weekend.  In the meantime, and before I post it to e-bay, I'm going to advertise it in Marketplace - give you a chance to buy it before it goes to the masses.  Anyone needing a development exhaust, or want to play with the baffles etc - its ideal!

PM me for details/offers

woodstock, did you manage to have a peek regarding these connecting tubes just before the chrome tips either side?

so i managed to look under a car on a ramp tonight that i believe has the standard exhaust.

The noted differences between mine are that this exhaust did not have the connecting pipes I've talked about and also the back box seemed to be painted/coated in a matt black paint

there was a small rectangular (non painted) silver part exposed showing some codes etc

Sports exhaust has an RS logo on the backbox, has the standard one got this?

I've got the std exhaust back home now, I'll get some pictures today hopefully. What I can tell you is that it is stamped and part numbered BENTLEY

It's not painted at all, it is full stainless steel.

The sports exhaust does have a different configuration after the silincer - it does have a bridging pipe; the standard exhaust does not.

How are you finding it works and performs ? Anything much to report ?
