you get that to a degree with the standard too. I try to park the car NOT facing the neighbours tho.

Hadn't heard back from Southend Audi so fired a message over.
Reply back was Parts Technical are claiming that there is no retro fit system to put the sports exhaust on which I find crazy considering it’s just an exhaust
So ive fired the part numbers back and told them i'll go elsewhere if they cant get onne as i know we can.

It's so that they can charge that option as yet another "extra"Wheeler Dealer had a program about rebuilding a Subaru wrx or something? Although they used electric exhaust valves which was easy on or off by a switch. That had been a better solution from the beginning but Audi can't do it for some reason. Technically they can of course but something else why they haven't choosed that?

I'm surprised the Windows that go up and down aren't in a pack of some sort.
"If you want your engine to start sir, that will be in the luxury pack, that's £500"

Steve P - I've had it done, and it was easy. The proof is sitting on the drive, and the standard exhaust is in the shed! PM me with your phone number, if you want more details.

I've fired across a screen shot of your swap to prove its been done along with part numbers. If they still say no I'll look at other options. Either another dealer or modifying a standard to be louder

just got this reply from them.....
Audi don’t offer an approved retro fit sports exhaust system for this vehicle. You could fit the sports exhaust system part number 8V0253181F ‘but this is not Audi approved & nobody has ever retro fitted this part to an RS3 & would be down to yourselves.
Basically the cost is £1257.31 inc vat for the part without labour, it will have to come from Germany and is therefore non-returnable, it should fit but no-one has done it yet so there is no guarantee and as it’s not an ‘factory approved’ retro-fit kit we have no comeback if there is a problem and there could also be potential issues with Warranty because even though it would be a genuine part it was not ‘Factory fitted’ so would not be covered.

I wouldof thought they would have to prove it affected performance via a rolling road of somesort before rejecting a warranty claim ?

This is the latest reply when i asked why they said the above.
Audi Technical said it was something due to the pressure etc… and if it gives you a flat spot & come back, we couldn’t claim it on the warranty. Like most mod’s to a car, if it has an aftermarket part usually needs re mapping.
I've fired back this morning
While i agree that aftermarket would normally have a remap,( i've played with far too many cars) i didn't think the sports exhaust made any performance gains so can't see the issue unless Audi are not telling the whole truth and their are some differences

This is nonsense - its a factory bolt-on option! Its like saying a retro-fitted sliver pack effects the paint warranty.

Talk about whitewash by the bucket load! Little wonder we all treat these moronic dealers with the contempt they rightly deserve
