OK Dell - you obviously know your metalurgy! What is hard anodising? I thought anodising was, well - just anodising... !

Hal.

I don't mate 😂 but I've fitted aftermarket brake calipers on motorcycles in the past & there been made from high quality aluminium with a hard anodised finish which you couldn't scratch with a screwdriver !

How they get that finish I've not got a scooby.🤔

These were the steel brackets I bought from AKS in Germany when I had bought the 8 pots. 1e3120b86a6ae46042c03bb06f0d91ae.jpg1f0644dcc4f7245050d1e4a2dc8772c7.jpg

Dell.

They did work with OEM discs.

Just need a small spacer because the Rotor will catch them if not.

If I’d have kept the 8P they’d have been on.

Thanks for all the input on here. The posts have made my mind up that this isnt a route I want to go. Ive ordered the 310 discs today from Reyland, to match the front Alcon discs, bolted not floating.

Vagbremtechnic seem to have loads of issues with there’s, Tom Wrigley doesn’t sell the brackets separately, so to me that’s a sign - Back to plan a!

Just about 10 days wait then ill have my new brakes fitted :-)

I thought Tom Wrigley did sell the brackets separately. If not too late you can get the adapters from BKS, but 400€, which I think is similar to TW price from looking at my quote from him.

The TW ones were a work of art. Perhaps that's why he charges a tad more vs others?

Come on Dell it’s Tom Wrigley after all.
We should all be grateful he knows so much about selling this stuff.

Use the search function John.........

Edit
The posts are deleted
Probably best.

He was one of the MK2 owners that thought we the other owners knew nowt about brakes / RS cars etc.......

Was also 'offering' a solution without wanting to become a forum sponsor

Then got banned.

We had an influx of 'tricky' members who didn't like being questioned or challenged about things......

I remember the tricky members time albeit after the TW thing which was perhaps before my time too. A few of us slipped through the net though and are still here ;)

Sean.

I'm not on ASN but i got a good idea he try the same there promoting his product which has ceased mate.

Personally i just think his a racer/salesman not an engineer unlike other aftermarket brake Co.
