Got the new cv joints. The TTRS inner cv joint is miles better. The RS3 joint is a 3 roller tripod setup whereas the TTRS is a 6ball lobro type.I would say its far stronger. will take some photos with part numbers tommorow.
Good news and bad. The TTRS joints are much stronger but they do not fit the RS3 shaft. The TTRS shaft has bigger splines and is much meatier. New complete shaft on order.
New gearbox mount to fit the manual box turned up. The dogbone is also different.
Also still have a perfect DSG. Only done 17k. Somebody was coming to pick this box up when it first came out but it turned out they only had 20p. Been sat under bench since.

Steering column with angle sensor done. Took ages to get everything in the right spot.
Bloody hell this car is going to be bullet proof, can you upgrade mine for me to please ?
Would say this is more of a change of use than an upgrade Roy. So far we have destroyed every ounce of comfort and junked a lovely transmission. Stripping out a 27k car and building a proper 5 cylinder quattro with full bang antilag
also seems like a great idea in the pub but it takes a lot of commitment until to much has been cut away to go back.
