What discs and calipers you thinking of both for weight and performance ?
Cheers
AP Racing discs are lighter and better than stock. RS4 or R8 8 pot callipers will work with these and aren't that much heavier than the standard 4 pots for the relative increase in braking performance. R8 ceramics front are rear fit with an adapter kit :-D

What about the porsche calipers ( I may be able to source some of those and they were my initial choice) with the APs work with them ?
Tuners have suggested a coma
My but can't remember the name funky looking drill pattern and 12 pot calipers, however £3500 for just the fronts or Forge ones for less than half
I'd love the ceramics but way out o my budget with everything else there is to do......again I bet they fetch big money 2nd hand and are very scarce

Great update's Bronco!
Is it too early to think about it's first outing? We could perhaps organise a meet where you race to show support

Thanks for the advice on the brakes yeh that's an option but the R8 brakes are top money even 2nd hand I'm told.

RS4 R8 calipers are not necessarily big money there are new sets on ebay at the moment from £700 you might even get half of this back selling the RS3 items. I don't know on the Porsche Calipers for the front but Porsche Boxter S or 911 turbo rear calipers will work really well on the rear of the RS3 (4 pot) and can go with C5 RS6 rear discs but needs a TTRS rear hub swap for offset. Brembo make the Porsche calipers to their spec so maybe compatible for the front.
I would stay away from the Forge and VWR racing setups they don't seem to get good reviews and are not the correct RS3 offset.
Would love the ceramics too my RS3 is Daytona Grey with Aluminium styling pack think the ceramics would really suit it.

Yeh not gonna bother with the Forge etc but all uve said is handy info to get the right combo
I'm aware that we can't go big on the back as it will ruin the balance and be too much
Some combos are well suited to each other and to the car aren't they do best look at tried and tested....expensive to get wrong
Yeh goin be a heap of bits for sale in a few months

It must have been a costly purchase in the first place before you even started with the mods.
Also what events are you going to be competing in?
Current car: Tesla M3 Performance.
“Lightning" 2012 RS3, Ibis White (Sold). “Bumblebee” 2018 S1 Competition, Vegas Yellow (Sold). 2020 TTRS mk3 Sport Edition (Sold).

Started to write the full version but the short version doesn't tell the tale at all.... I'll give you the full run down if we meet up
Way too much to go on about on here
Prob won't enter any comps but would love to exhibit it rather than show it as such
It may not stack up anyway.

To most it must seem a waste of time and money but to me it's something I've wanted done on a car for 30 years.....

As soon as Audi stop regularly replacing my brakes for free lol I will probably start with drilled AP Racing discs and Fast Road pads. I will then find out a bit more about the rear hub swap and the C5 RS6 rear discs. This would also give me the uprated TT driveshafts. I would like to do this for looks, the uprated driveshafts after having broken one on the front as well as increased braking performance for autobahn and some light track work. Under heavy use its scary how light the back goes when braking from high speed 120 mph + or into corners on track. For looks may put Porsche 4 pot calipers on the rear painted black with RS logo to look OEM but there not really required. I do however have 2 years warranty left and this is major work. Then if I start doing more track days or feel I want more braking bias back towards the front I will put 8 pots on.
Ceramics are too expensive really, other option maybe RS6 6 pot calipers with R8 GT race brakes

How many times have they replaced your brakes now ?
Do you know the service manager very well???

I have had a set of pads before the 47i6 update 3 x 47i6 kits another set of discs and pads and still have horrific brake squeal.
As soon as my dealer has a courtesy car available its going back in. The factory are still looking into the brake squeal issue as the 47i6 update does not always resolve the issue.

Found out yesterday a new prop has been found but still nothing on the drive shafts so you mentioning the TT ones has woke me up this morning and I've already pestered my Tuners about it.....AGAIN
Is the brake lightness on the rear at high speed partly due to lack of downforce or just the poor rear brakes ?
Does your dealer have a shrine to you at home and send you valentine cards lol

I will have a new ttrs cv joints later on and will let you now what the difference to RS3 ones is. The actual shaft itself is the same part number.

Vito the alloys were at dealer cost split 3 ways between myself Audi UK and the dealer for bad refurbs to 2 alloys and scuff damage to all caused fitting new tyres worked out about £750 for 4 new alloys with 2 being the wider fronts.
Big Bear sorry for the confusion I meant I have destroyed a front O/S CV joint, driveshaft and the transmission unit. These were replaced in Germany but I dont know if they are any different to the original parts. I believe you can do a rear hub swap to TTRS to fit uprated rear driveshafts but no idea about the front. I guess it would be problematic with the different offsets. Have you found an uprated prop shaft then or just the bolts? I would say there's enough downforce under braking the suspension is fairly stiff and the car is nose heavy I just don't believe the standard S3 rear brakes are good enough for the RS3. The back goes scarily light when you slam on at 140 mph as someone pulls out in front of you doing 60 mph! If you think about it and do a direct comparison to the S3 the fronts have been massively uprated and they have skimped done nothing to the rear. Not sure if my dealer loves or hates me I have been through a few and I certainly keep them busy. I am also on first name terms with my case manager at Audi UK and speak to him on a weekly basis!
Bronco do you have the part numbers for the O/S RS3 and TTRS CV joints and driveshafts please I'll try and see if I can match these to my invoice from Germany?
