That's an amazing reply thx a lot for that
I'm interested I hearing about the Haldex and would be very appreciative of any gems that my tuners are not aware of.
They have built many cars and their experience is amazing but not really this car of this spec ...and me been me I don't want leave anything to chance

This forum has many threads about the CV joints and prop bolts failing and needing replacement
I'm worried that these and splined shafts maybe std A3 parts and not up to big money HP and the R&D didn't really feature much in it's construction....
Anything uve come across or aware of please PM me with
Mine is going be a strange car when it's finished
Hopefully in a category all of it's own... all show and all go lol

I tried get a new set of discs and calipers for mine to then sell on when the big units (prob R8) get fitted
All was good until Stoke Audi informed me that aftermarket pads had been fitted by previous owner and the sensor wires had been tied up..... So they wouldn't replace !!! Gutted

I will have lots of parts to sell soon inc if anyone is interested the MMI Head/face unit and the bose system and speakers
Most likely someone wanting to jazz up a std A3 will want most bits

The dash will need a good trim up to make it fit past the roll cage.

Will run with the standard brakes and see how they go. Only allowed max 18" wheels so fitting anything bigger in will be a problem. The wheels for ralling are normally a bit thicker and stronger so space becomes a problem. On the plus side, it is much much easier to stop a lighter car. Will let you Know what it weighs when its finished .

Hello Big Bear, Had a look at what your at and sounds real good. There are plenty of big power 700bhp ttrs out there running fine on standard transmission components. We are using the manual box from the ttrs because dsg is less than ideal for ralling. The box will be fully stripped and all internals superfinished. Will probably superfinish the angle drive and CWP. I have little experiance of any Audi cars before but the components look well made when compared to subaru etc. Took the driveshafts apart for a look and the inner cv,s are real nice.Has there been any failures reported? The rally car will also be much lighter than a road version which helps with the strain of hard launch, also we will not have massive power thanks to the 32mm restrictor. The haldex is being controlled by the same ecu as the engine and is very trick. At the moment we are just putting back the essential components so that the new loom can be made up and then get her up and running.

Hi great project good luck with it. I have had O/S CV Joint driveshaft and transmission unit failure more details here;

Are all of the propshaft failures down to the bolts failing or are the props breaking as well? Are the ARP bolts curing the issue? Also are the driveshaft failures happening on the inner, outer or both CV joints. I doubt that the shaft itself is causing issues. Big Bear there is a plan for uprating the drive axles if need be but was rather hoping that the stock items were good.
