Sean you can map it and keep the warranty valid though so that's not such an issue in reality is it?
Coxeterj - You're comments and the fact you made this thread tells me exactly what type of a guy you are so what you say bares no meaning because you're simply a bell. You keep "reading".
I wouldn't even mind I've rebelled being a Fast ford lover for years as it's all my brother/dad have ever had so I'm no Ford fan boy that's for sure but after driving the new RS it is a proper drivers car no doubt about it.
Is it a better all round daily performance road car? No definitely not but it is 10k+ cheaper whatever way you want to look at it, and time will tell which holds its value best, the Mk2 FRS has done very well with decent ones still at 22k+ which is similar to the 8p that's newer and fewer of.
Badge snobbery at its worst on this thread. We all clearly like fast performance cars so why be so ignorant towards other marque's out there? I'd have every fast hatch back on the market if I could afford it.. Non of them are exactly rubbish this day and age.
TVR's are great to drive but would you want to live with one on a daily basis?

A friend daily drove a Chimera 350? for two years, never had a single problem with it. Brother had a Griff 500 as a toy for a year, nothing but issues.
Great cars, made from chocolate, but the design still looks great ten years on (love the T350C).
Fast appreciating too, would love a Bright Red Sagaris... if I lived in a sunnier clime with a lot less rain Silly money these days, never thought that would be said about a TVR ever.

It doesn't sound like something you'd want to remap, Christ that would break it.....
With a badly designed AWD system that can't take much abuse too.......
These will be a joy to own outside of warranty
Just look at it.....

Looks amazing and over 12 years on would make even a GT3 RS owner a bit sad.... if it was a women a keeper for sure (even if its unreliable and blows all your money every payday).
Looks great in 'Gluto' too

There was a lot of talk about the comparison of the RS3 v Focus RS. I used this website to compare across many of the details that were discussed and the results are very interesting. As mentioned earlier, the focus is a better car on track and the way it drives is fantastic. All of the 0 - x amount of speed races the Audi won bar a couple of results which you would expect especially with the auto box. The focus was quicker around every track tested bar one. Price/performance test the Focus came out on top by a fair margin. So we've all agreed the interior isn't any comparison to that of the Audi. But for a sheer driving pleasure the Focus RS is the better of the two cars. And the biggest factor was that between the two cars tested, there was a €17,500 price difference! That would go a long way to owning a second more luxurious car if a fancy cabin was way up the bucket list.
A copy of the results may have been a good idea to post

Interesting track results, but could be seen as meaningless unless both are running the same tyres. From what I remember, the Focus RS had optional wheels and tyres which are more track focused? Plus the media cars were a bit more trick mechanically compared to the customer cars.
End of the day its all subjective.
