I contacted Robinsky to ask how he was getting on with his set - his feedback is very positive for these discs as an alternative to the orignal Audi fitment. I am probably going to try them combined with some EBC Redstuff as I dont think that the Audi OEM pads are that good either.

I've been championing the Alcon set up for ages now....

Looks better than slotted AP discs, any day in my opinion and I bet you don't get the chatter feedback either.

The only shame is that they don't supply the matching rear discs anymore.

When I asked they didn't make them anymore.

From an engineering point of view, I am very fussy about any non OEM parts that I fit to my car - I would have no hesitation on fitting a set of these (I have used Alcon products before and they work really well). Gets my vote!

I Agree Fivepotfan......

These really do look the business and as you say Alcon have a good track record in this field......

These are going on my car once the oem discs have gone past their best.....

And I don't have squeal or any brake issues either.

It was Aoon's thread that made me decide to void my warranty and go to my garage of choice armed with said thread and ask how much?
For a young man I found him very knowledgeable, honest, with balls and big pockets. He has my respect.
One day at my garage, one of the tech's showed me the picture of a nardo rs with Aoon's plate and the drivers door was wearing the front wheel, not a good look, and as I said I was gutted for him.
As for the banter with Caney, no malice was meant or intended, I just know what I was shown and told, although I still can't understand why anyone would use used parts on their brakes.
I sure I'm not the only one out there who saw the photos!

I noticed the set fitted to their demo car had gold colour anodised housings - maybe they can also be specced to suit a colour choice? Certainly better than OEM 'rusty' finish. :)

Maybe that's the first prototype set. Retail version will have the black bell I reckon per display kit.

380mm vs 370mm standard. I'd fit DS2500 pads too

Whatever that is...... it's a solution far better than anything Audi will come up with....

Or just code out the wear sensor......

Make sure to wrap up the empty connector housing though.

Question: I had enough with squeals and shaking brakes, I want it to stop now. What do I do? Replacing brake disc and pads? If so then which brand? And if not then which aftefmarket kit will be the best in terms of quite braking and unti-shaking behavior ? I saw the AP kit here on the forum but afraid to spend a lot of money and remain with one or both the problems. Pleaseeeee helppppp

I would also love to have some answers. With spirited driving the stock pads don't last more than 5k. Period!! After 4-6 k the rotors start causing brake judder. We didn't buy these cars to pussyfoot around. We bought them to DRIVE!!! Audi international's answer to my brake judder was to offer me the back brake rotors from the R8 to install in front. I did and we will see!!! I doubt that it will help.
