How can they justify a 1k increase from Dynamic to Dynamic Plus just for increasing the speed limiter!

'Twas the same on the 8V. Only for bragging rights and an emptier pocket...!

Plus the standard car goes through the limiter in 6th, so they say!

Or just go to any garage who can offer a remap and get the 155mph speed limit wrote out of the map. Much cheaper!

Well having just returned home after the road trip, even getting TO 155mph in Germany is not easy. Managed about 140mph on the way over to UK, and 145mph on the way home. Just too much traffic, and too many bloody trucks!

So... As I said previously, that is mainly for bragging rights ;-)

1St Gen of TTRS's (MK 2 TT) Tuners had quite a problem removing the limiter difficult to Test if it was working but a few of the Early Cars seemed to be reverting back to STD after about a Thousand miles Although did get sorted

Why when there's 370+ already there ?

Easily enough for most modern driving situations.....

Perhaps not on forums though, where most posts about a potential car purchase usually involve a 'remap'.

Or indeed after a 'remap' had been applied in whatever form it's usually followed by 'my cars doing this' or 'this is broke' / 'this lights come on' / 'will Audi refuse my claim'.

I was replying to a comment Dan made when he put

"How can they justify a 1k increase from Dynamic to Dynamic Plus just for increasing the speed limiter!"

So I was stating it would be cheaper to get the car remapped and the speed limiter wrote out at the same time for half the cost that Audi would charge. What's the problem with that?

It wouldn't be cheaper if the car goes bang and Audi refuse to fix it under warranty because its been mapped.

Good point UF. All depends on what tuber you go with. I can speak from experience that Revo and Audi have never had any issues.

I think I'd sooner pay the extra have the car de-limited from the factory and standard with warranty intact.

Re-map the route of many RS3 problems.

I wonder how many times people who want this have actually driven up to the limiter and thought "Hey 155mph is just not fast enough"??
