Just saw a post on a dealer page the TTRS is now available to order from August 22nd and starts at £51800 !!

Deliveries expected December 2016 onward!

Doesn't seem too badly priced considering the RS3 starting price I guess.

Anyone making an order?

If it starts at £52k it will be £60k after a couple of choice options  :ambulance: Has it definitely got the new 400hp engine?

0-60 in 3.7 with a 400ps 2.5l engine they've listed it with.

Audi will typically give no options as standard so yea your are right it'll be 60k all day long.

52k for a TT? Not a chance. 1/2 decent spec 58k? You can get an RS6 for a couple grand more. I got something like 16k off my new 2015 RS6

Think there aimed at slightly different Markets :) I'll be getting a TT-RS and have no use or desire for an RS6 but if I had a large Family and wanted room to take the Kitchen Sink with me then my Shopping list might be different

For comparison a base spec Cayman S is £49K (manual box) which now comes with the dull 4 cylinder turbo unit, for me the TTRS isnt badly priced when you consider the 400bhp 5 pot engine and 4wd.

I was contemplating the TTRS but after speaking to the accountant it's a no no
Unless I sell the van then buy the TTRS and then I can claim the vat back
Only problem is 10 ft panels would ruin the TTRS

It's pretty much second hand R8 V10 money and I know what I'd rather have.

There are people who say the RS3 is 'too expensive' for a glorified A3

For Me they Tick a lot of the Boxes and performance wise are on the edge of Supercar Performance without the Expensive running cost. My MK2 Plus had a list Price £50720.00 (Before Options) So I was always expecting to be paying North of £50K.

Definitely over priced when you consider it against the M2 starting at 44k. I'd sooner have a loaded M2 at 50k over a base spec TTRS ☺

I'm not sure the TT-RS is aimed at the M2 though, perhaps it should be but the price suggests it is more aimed at Cayman's which is the bigger market in terms of units sold.

Yeah possibly. However I don't think it's aimed at competing with the Cayman S or even GTS especially with it having so much more power.. Surely it will blow them out of the water?

I'd be inclined to say it could be aiming for the GT4 in terms of performance and with them both being top of their class. After all the GT4 was a 64k list price car which isn't a million miles away from what the TTRS will be, shame they're 90k+ now but that's porsche for you 🙈

Don't you mean second hand V8? I have been looking at R8 as possible alternative to RS3 but have decided that may go with new TTRS after a test drive booked in with local dealer when he gets one. Won't buy from first batch so as to avoid the inevitable Audi manufacturing problems with new cars. Also looked at Jag F type R which is lovely car with spine tingling exhaust sound. And the reason to discount both R8 & the Jag is lack of boot space, neither would take a weekend bag for two so useless as a touring/holiday cars. Still on look out for alternative to RS3/TTRS

£60k should get you into an R8 V10.

I figured on 60k as a few options will surely see the TTRS very close to that figure.
