Sounds just like this. Always at 2000 rpm after engine was hot then left to stand a few hours. Sometimes straight from cold..

They are "looking into it" as I was told.In other words they haven`t a clue.

I've a mental picture of them staring at the engine then closing the bonnet to go draw straws in the dealer canteen

He told me some stories about warranty cases and what goes on at dealerships.
It wasn't a huge surprise to be honest.
But they get paid for more than you think on warranty cases.

A creak from the front is classed as a 'normal' operational noise.
God help us all with RS models.

their layout ,spotlessly clean. Not impressed with the tyre guy.I was quite prepared to swap wheels myself.I came
with trolley jack and torque wrench but was told the tyre lad would do it.So I watched in horror as he air gunned
the wheel nuts back on. I didn`t say anything but made a mental note to check the torque when or if I ever get the car back.
As regards the chain .They have fitted something in or around the oil filter (can`t find out exactly what)that
hasn`t made any difference at all. They have one more thing to try and then it may possibly need a new engine.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
