Launched it yet?

No mate.

No need it's plenty quick enough and I wouldn't abuse something that's not mine.

For a 2 ton car it certainly shifts Paul.
I don't know why they don't put the de-tuned V8T in the new RS4 it's a peach.

Having driven its bigger brother the RS6, and loved it,  I can believe it.  They dont feel like big cars either.

I dont blame you on the LC, I dont see any need for it either.

Im suprised they never used the 4.0 TFSI in the R8, but they have now dropped the V8 completely in favour of the V10 on the latest models.

Well car finally at Audi Bolton AGAIN for chain noise.I already know what the outcome is.Master tech Phil totally uninterested in fixing it.Keeps saying "It`s a big job this. The problem is the oil drains out of the tensioner and takes time to fill up again" Strange, that`s exactly word for word what I told him 4 weeks ago.See what happens.I`ll keep you posted.

Good luck mate. I know it's a drag out for you but Macc have been spot on with me but they haven't done any chain noise inspection as it's not happened for a while. I just mentioned it because Sean's car was in there too.

Sean already advised me to use Macclesfield but it was already booked into Bolton but they will certainly be my next port of call.Either that or Autotrader!!

Well my timing chain rattled today! Car was warm but been parked for 45 mins.
Restarted and rattle rattle then quiet, that's twice its done it since the dealer serviced it using Mobil 1 5w30.
I'd ran the car for 5k before that on castrol edge and it never happened.
I'm going to change the oil back to castrol this week and see if it happens again.

Mine`s still in Bolton having the chain looked at. Been there now 3 weeks.Maybe they are trying to beat Sean`s 9 weeks.

I'm not sure if any Audi dealer is capable of curing the chain rattle!
I think they believe if they park them up long enough it'll either
Fix itself, or the owner will forget what the fault is.
Good luck

I don`t think new oil helps.Mine when I got the car had according to the service book 5L of Edge along with 1L of Helix Ultra (all from Audi) .Then I changed it to. Castrol Edge and did 2000 miles on that .Then Audi changed it again to their brand ( don`t know which oil but it was 5/30) and I did 700 miles.Chain rattled on all 3 .oil changes.

I've only heard mine since that change, now done nearly 4K since service so some fresh oil will give me some peace of mind.

Mines had another new Starter motor looking through the notes earlier.

Noise on tick over was an idler pulley bearing gone rough

Suspension components changed on the near side

New driveshaft as well

Propshaft checked and found to be fine.

Now I've been told 'goodwill' gesture is coming my way

Well mine has been to another dealership for engine noise to no avail 😡😡😡 apperently unless they can witness sound they can't do anything unwilling to actually get into the engine and look at chain tensioner.
So I'm waiting for the engine to go bang and I will be taking it back to them and dumping it outside their showroom until they fix it .
Unless computer says there's a problem they ain't interested !!
