I agree and I find it funny that as soon as I mention changing my oil (and as is usual with ALL the cars I've had, I'm convinced they hear me and can talk to me. Maybe not directly but in different ways, sad I know) it starts making this noise on start up. The brakes are just to spite me I feel. Still I am convinced this has a soul and I've bonded to this car in a far greater manner than anything I've had before.

We should all get together and list the various problems we have had, the times it took us to go to Audi the money in fuel and days off required and the general lack of customer service in certain areas. I feel that if enough noise can be generated by a group of owners then surely something will have to be done.

P.S. I'm willing to travel to make my voice heard!!

Well lets ave it then, anyone got a real term suggestions to make our collective problems known? I will happily compile a list of names and complaints/problems they have suffered from!

Audi RS3

I started this thread a few days ago.Mines been in to Bolton 3  or 4 times for the timing chain rattle.Of course they say that no other RS3 `s have this fault ,just mine.It would help you, me and all other RS3 owners if you could possibly book it in at Bolton. At least that way they have more ammo to contact Audi UK.

I recently picked mine up for a service this Saturday and they were so forgiving compared to my last couple of visits, new brakes, new rear parcel shelf, etc.

Have you tried taking it to Manchester Audi?

It`s been booked in to Bolton for a while now and it`s on my way to work..This is their last chance. If they can`t fix it I`ll try Manchester.

Who are you dealing with? Maybe I can put a word in...after all I purchased my last 3 Audis from there and Audi UK seem to be quite understanding with me that's for sure after the hell I raised about brake issues.

I've purchased 3 brand new Audi's from Manchester........

In no way did it make them any better at fixing or servicing things.
Once you've bought em they ain't interested

I'll repeat the Audi motto.........

"They all do that Sir"

I was advised to speak to Lee Hancy but he left a few months ago. I now deal with Adam .I think his last name is Larkinson.A real good guy,He`s heard the chain noise when I first took the car to them .The "tech" ?? is Phil somebody. He was the one who looked horrified when I mentioned tensioners and chain. I get the impression this is way out of his depth.

Thanks Neil
I can hear both times on both recordings you emailed me.

That can't be right on an engine with such low mileage.....

Garage View Garage

I've never heard my car do that, that's pretty poor for a low mileage car
