Finally had a chance to check my emails, nothing new in there in terms of information we already don't know. I have seen part of the document before so don't see any harm in posting the bits I haven't seen before. Initial press responses & some technical table comparisons between the new RS3, old RS3, S3 & A45 AMG

When you look at the power figures there's really not much of an increase from the current model just strikes me odd Audi didn't try a little harder to push things closer to 400 mark just to really upset competition too cause that 2.5 engine is capable of great things

I think its a reserved figure, I remember when I had the MK 1 for a few hours we did manage a couple of times below 4.6.

But 4.3 is still seriously quick -

Lets look at some other hot hatch times - http://www.autosnout...-60mph-List.php

You can see that 4.3s puts it with some serious performance cars, and thats if it isn't quicker which i think it will be to be honest, not much quicker but maybe on a good day 4.1s.

These are just numbers very small at that, personally I just want to get it, and take it on a long 'spirited' drive :)

Oh for sure for a hatch it's crazy quick but sometimes you think are Audi holding back and why but I like you can't wait to get in a new one although I am getting a little annoyed with the wait

To be honest they could easily produce 400+bhp car probably without much effort.  The reason why they don't must be because it will make everything else in the range look crap value, and at 400+ probably murder them also in terms of performance. I would be cool if they did, but then it just becomes about numbers, which i ain't too bothered about, as long as the car starts after an argument with the Mrs I don't mind :)

I think the only reason I am still not moved on is that I had a test drive in the A45, about 8 months ago and that gearbox was the slowest I had ever used, total pants. I can't think of any other similar priced, performant car that give the quality and have a 5 pot engine other than Audi, plus I think Audi's are looking great at the moment. The focus looks poo IMO, I preferred the previous gen, looked like a rally car :)

I had a go in a new S3, with magnetic ride. I would defo recommend it if you aren't planning to use the car every day, it just makes handling awesome. In comfort it was manageable for me, but in dynamic it was a great car to throw round bends. Just the S3 lacked a bit of voice for me, which I'm hoping a Sports exhaust will help :)

But yeah, i will probably hang around until it gets released, I have waited so long, a more couple weeks won't hurt right?.............................

Ye i dont know what it is about bmw salesmen they think they are doing you a favour by letting you in to the showroom, when i went to look at an x5 i was in there for literally about 5 mins before i just walked out. Iknow it sounds cocky but if someone is going to take money off me esp large amounts i would like the service to go with it.

I've bought cars from 5 different Audi in last 4 years and always been treated well that's why I go back n spend more money when they actually let you 😁 check out the A3/S3 clubport that thing was pushing 500 odd break from the 2.5 engine so 400 should of been easy

Audi have now released a finance offer on the RS3 but still don't have a price listed anywhere else on the website. Looks like we're creeping forward though!

Total amount payable £45,941.23

Total amount payable by customer £44,941.23

Is that indicating a £1000 deposit contribution by Audi or am I just being thick !?

It would normally indicate a centre deposit, but it doesn't state it explicitly which it would normally do. As with all press info released by Audi so far on the RS3, perhaps take it with a pinch of salt.
Maintaining status quo is not an option

They might have got it wrong again, there's no mention of centre deposit contribution or similar ,if you look at other examples RS4/A6 they include centre deposit contribution.

Plugging the numbers into pcpcal, doesn't look like they have included the finance contribution, unless they've included it as part of the customer deposit.

Agree with the above - big pinch of salt until we get credible info!

As mentioned on another post why couldn't they have been this slow, indecisive and disorganised in the 1940s !
