Are most people who are changing their Calipers driving 8P models? Iām pre empting a solution if I get the dreaded squeaks and thought on a FL I would start with a set of pads. I have to say I liked the sound of swapping just the discs for Alcon ones that donāt rust. Is there a few options to discs that donāt rust because even the OEM ones on my R rust after jet washing which is annoying?
Great thread though guys.š

Iāve read this thread but to be honest there was so much info I got a bit lost. Good info though.

Stu.
I think the 8P calipers are fine but the discs & pads is another story,a change of disc & pad works well.
On the 8v a pad change works for most people & others discs & pads.
Try keeping up mate !

Mark.Well I canāt fault Reylands customer service they phone and asked if I would like to change from curved slot to J hook. Dell was it you who was on the phone to them? Thanks for mentioning it anyway, much appreciated
To be honest I rang them for a invoice & to say how happy I was with the discs & how the J hooks were very quiet,I mentioned about yours, Martin said he done you J hooks by mistake I mentioned your posting & Martin said he give you a bell mate.š

What I liked about dealing with Martin or Tony is that there both engineers not salesmen š
Martin also like the idea of Ferodos DSs for fast road use as he specs DS2500 normally.
May the stopping force be with you š

Could someone post the part numbers for the front and rear (8p) Ds Performance pads please, and also how are the Reyland discs performing now they are bedded in?

All now bedded in & a great improvementšwell happy š
I'm using DS FDS1334 for a Citroen & cutting off the wear sensor as Ferodos don't spec them for the 8P ā¹ I've shorted out the wear pad sensor.
The rears are the Ferodo premier pad FDB1636 DSs are not spec or required to be honest.

The days are dragging till I get home to fit mine.
