I’ve read this thread but to be honest there was so much info I got a bit lost. Good info though.

Are most people who are changing their Calipers driving 8P models? I’m pre empting a solution if I get the dreaded squeaks and thought on a FL I would start with a set of pads. I have to say I liked the sound of swapping just the discs for Alcon ones that don’t rust. Is there a few options to discs that don’t rust because even the OEM ones on my R rust after jet washing which is annoying?

Great thread though guys.šŸ‘

I think the 8P calipers are fine but the discs & pads is another story,a change of disc & pad works well. :)

On the 8v a pad change works for most people & others discs & pads.

Try keeping up mate !  :P

Probably because they’ve already got the patterns etc from Dells set and probably clicked of the sudden influx of discs for the 8P RS3 occurring this week haha.

Sean.

What I liked about dealing with Martin or Tony is that there both engineers not salesmen 😊

Martin also like the idea of Ferodos DSs for fast road use as he specs DS2500 normally.

May the stopping force be with you šŸ‘

Could someone post the part numbers for the front and rear (8p) Ds Performance pads please, and also how are the Reyland discs performing now they are bedded in?

Stephen.

All now bedded in & a great improvementšŸ‘well happy 😁

I'm using DS FDS1334 for a Citroen & cutting off the wear sensor as Ferodos don't spec them for the 8P ☹ I've shorted out the wear pad sensor.

The rears are the Ferodo premier pad FDB1636 DSs are not spec or required to be honest.

The days are dragging till I get home to fit mine.

Did you just do a similar procedure to what’s in the Alcon website for bedding in Dell?
