T-800, I'm in an 8p, but Trevor has come up with the goods and supplied me with some Ds performance pads, so thanks again for the link.
Apologies I didn’t realise.

The 8P discs are 32mm were the 8v I believe are 34mm.
So it has nothing to do with Reyland its Audi that dictate the disc thickness mate.

I'm sure that's the case mate but Jonny needs to work that one out for himself & not ask an 8P owner.

i see your point Dell, Martin told me the reyland 8v discs were 32 mm but i read somewhere that the 8v oem waveys are 34mm, just seemed strange that an upgraded disc is thinner than a oem disc, thats wot i couldnt get my head around.Sean.

May be Martin has got his discs in a twist mate.
Look at it another way the 8Ps discs are 32mm so why does the 8v need 34mm discs as the cars weight much the same barring the use off 8 pot calipers.

These are the set of Alcon discs I removed from my car before it was sold. They did 15,000 miles and did a great job at stopping my stage 2 car. They never once faded (with Ferodo pads...do not use Redstuff on these discs) and didn't make any real excessive noise other than a slight whirring when they got really hot. A closer inspection revealed some slight heat cracking in the surface (bottom part of the disc) but no ruts, grooves or bad 'lipping' at the edge. Not too bad considering these are a performance part and are not intended to be a high mileage endurance item for the car.
The discs next to it were my stock Audi wavy jobbies which had covered approximately 4K miles.
I have a FL car now with the round discs, they seem to be better than the previous wavy examples but I am not convinced the pads are up to the job. New brake upgrade planned shortly.
