Which dog bone insert is recommended? I see you use the 034 insert, but have read that HPA have one for our cars and that its great(read on this forum but do not remember where). What would you go for guys?

The 034motorsport part number is 034-509-1025 (its version 2). The HPA (an some others like it) version is more expensive and involves removing the whole bush and replacing the OEM insert - probably ok if you have a ramp and the tools and a bit of engineering know how. The 034 version is just a simple alloy billet which fills the OEM rubber void to prevent the excessive movement - its held in place by the single OEM bolt and takes just a few minutes to fit if you have the car up on a ramp.

Comment below (from HPA website) summarises the improvements of fitting these mods

"upgraded mounts reduce engine flex to improve torque transfer to the drivetrain, and prevent excessive movement under hard acceleration. Gear engagement is faster and easier and stability is improved"

Ok. So if money and fitting is not an issue at all, which one is better? I mean performance wise. And do anyone know if the HPA one do cause shaking or not like the 034 you say is shake free?

Well given that scope then IMO the better option would be the HPA. Why? because it's a proper replacement bush designed and made to do the job. The 034 insert ceratinly does the job (and its vibration free on my car) but may well end up wearing into the OEM rubber bush over time and use.

Thanks! I didn't think of that aspect at all that the 034 might wear the oem rubber. You made my choice a lot easier now thanks:)

I am not saying the the 034 insert will definately wear the OEM rubber but there has to be a possibility if its been fitted for a fair while. The weight of the gearbox/engine movement is prevented from excess movement by the metal insert pressing against the rubber voids in the bush. I guess if it did get worn then the HPA version could be the next option as the replacement perhaps?

Nice figures, although in my experience Dynojet tend to over read.

Really needs performance data to substantiate the dyno figures imo. :)

Looks very impressive based on those times being recorded.  Needs correcting though for slope, which your software is saying that run was downhill.

Is there any chance you could get access to a Racelogic VBOX and re-run, as they're pretty much the defacto test tool and we're able to run those logfiles through DBScanner which is what the Germans swear by.

Is this car being run on 102 octane fuel?

The logging tool is i on the market, I will get some new figures soon.
The transmission map is not finished yet.
200 kph can not reached in 4th gear, we will change the redline.

Hi Shaun,

Will your stage 3 be based on the standard engine internals? ie; not uprating any rods, pistons etc?

Absolutely. Hence my intended power cap of up to 550 of each.

Discussion is still ongoing around turbo spec, but may actually go for a blower with higher capabilities so I have headroom should I decide to go internal on the engine. 650bhp turbo is being discussed. Still in discussion stage at the moment though.

I guess you will have the dsg mapped this time too?
