IF Audi will replace of course i will get them to do it, but what happens now. I had my rear brakes checked as they are scoring on both discs Audi say they are fine i dont think they are. I have 2 choices now, speak with CS and get further investigations done by another dealer or sod messing around wasting time and just replace with the mtec..

Warranty whores, warranty whores everywhere.
If you change a part on your car you should immediately assume your warranty on that and related parts null and void.
"Sir, your aftermarket £100 drilled m-tec discs have damaged the rear handbrake calliper, we will not be honouring warranty in this case."
But thats none of my business.

But Aoon_M.........Warranty whores, warranty whores everywhere.
Owners who modify are very aware of the potential implications of their decision and have factored them into their thinking.

Most people will just want to enjoy the RS3 for what it is in its standard form

What's wrong with that ?
You may not be bothered about it, but I'll wager a good few of RS owners feel better for having it.
Modifying is indeed the owners choice and they do need to assess the impact on other factors.
We are all different, but one thing remains, our love of the RS 3........

What on earth does that mean? Not really appropriate language.... I bought a car, and if it goes wrong in the first few years - I expect that manufacturer to fix it... Nothing to do with whoring! Those comments are better suited to ASN.
If you want to void your warranty - then fill your boots! But for most of us having shelved out the best part of £50K, we don't have the luxury of putting of hands in our pockets an infinite depth during the early stages of ownership.

The OEM pad isn't big enough to sweep the entire surface of the bigger disc, you can even see signs of it on the picture behind the alloy.......
You'll end up with an odd looking band near the hub and on the wavy edge where the disc is untouched...........
Each to their own though........

About braking and at higher speeds, i don't feel anymore the braking relying only at front. It is definitely a upgrade mod for look and function. But if it was only for look, i would be happy as imho the rear tiny disc hurts the RS style.

The punyness of the rear brakes just serves to emphasise the immenseness of the fronts.
Wavy tears look odd and the non full coverage of the rotor will have issues down the line.

Please explain your theory...the non full coverage of the rotor will have issues down the line.
As i said above, the pads don't cover the disc only a few mm at the inner, next to the hub. Can't see any issue on that. The further the caliper/pad from the hub, the more leverage and brake force will be applied.

Fair play the wavy edge looks better now....
However that inside band will remain untouched because the original pad ain't wide enough.
But you are happy with it so its all that matters.

The disc contact area is bigger than the calliper pad contact area.
Anywho... STOP TRYING TO CHANGE MY MIND BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY WILL!

I would be much more happier with the RS7 engine under the bonnet.

I urge you not to send Bernd any money just yet
It's been 6 weeks since sending him funds and there has been a complete freeze on replies and no product being sent to me
A fellow Aussie purchased from him recently too and is getting the same silent treatment
I will update this thread if he delivers
