Yeah I'm wondering if that stretch of road was greasy as the back end just crabbed a little as it was spinning the wheels up, then grabbed - However, anything descent would have been away!

I dont think i'll be doing it again, it felt horrible and has to be hurting the car!

3.55 seconds to 60 is pretty epic even GTR territory, this would eat up the old R8 until towards the top end!

read this today on revo's site

http://www.revotechn...re-undetectable

says towards end that revo software did tend to go unnoticed

i really want to go revo as i had stage 1 on my old car and had no problems. Saying that i did have a brand new gearbox done under warranty at seat with the revo software on, but that was due to something else what caused that. They even suspected my car was mapped but couldn't prove it as it was put back into stock.

I'm thinking of doing it but just don't want to be chucking away 3 years warranty  :3:

There Stock Car was doing a 3.72 so no slouch to start with, and to be honest is  .17 really worth jeopardising the warranty

Although the Torque figures are quite respectable (0-100mph 30-70mph 100-200kph times) over stock

If you look into the warranty carefully stuff like clutch bearings, which are likely to go if you map the car are only covered to 6k anyway. Unless you actually blow the engine which touch wood there is no one on here that does that, the warranty isn't really that comprehensive.

Had it mapped for a week now,
Great service from jjb in York, came in on his day off to map it because it's the only day I could get there.
I thought it was quick before hand but now it's something else. Response is instant, picks up straight away and pulls ridiculously hard thru the gears. Gets to 100 before you know it.
It's taken the lag/hesitation away from the pick up after the gear changes when you're flat and just doesn't stop pulling.
I'm a happy guy, they don't have rollers there so they just log it on the road. I'll get it RR'd soon to see what power it is now.
I've never noticed any difference in fuel yet, it's certainly no worse

Thanks for that I'm sure there will be a few people dying for the shows to start now!!
Usually you see a saving 20-30% at the event with a free 1/4 mile run...

By having one of these proper ecu remaps apposed to the tuning boxes, are they able to control more parameters within the engine? like the fueling ect?

A conventional remap does offer higher gains than the piggy back eqivalent. You can see that in the MTM remap vs cantronic offerings.

Hi H8WXB, you mention that since the remap, its eliminated the lag/hesitation after an up change. I've had mine Revo'd for about 6 week now and its actually exaggerated that lag after an up change, so much its actually taking the enjoyment from driving it hard. I'm wondering if there was any talk about this when you were there? Wondering if there is a fix for it since i've had mine done?

Just recently Vbox tested a friends Revo Stage 1 8v and best results were similar to what Revo claim..

0-60mph (1ft roll out enabled - like most) - 3.4

0-100mph ( " " ) - 8.22

100-200kmh - 9.58

1/4 - 11.79

I have screen shots of the verified logs/graphs, but unable to post the pics for some reason?

Stage 1 (RENNtech) A45 vs Stage 1 (REVO) RS3.

Both cars are that close together you can't even see the separation in the overlaid runs! Ha
