they look really smart Duke, bet they look nice on the motor as well, get a picture of the backshot of the car once one!

Yeah I will. Most likely at the weekend as I will be working late all week and I wanted to clean the ends of the bare pipes before I fit them back on.

Also I meant to say, I've been running without the trims for a few weeks whilst I was waiting for them to be done and I think the exhaust sounds louder without the trims fitted.
Possibly due to more sound filtering back into the car as the exhaust is a bit shorter without the trims?

The bare pipes are slash cut at the end so don't look too bad when naked 😉

Aww, they've come up really well. :)
I'll also be interested to see if it possible to do them on Mk2 as I'm looking to place an order for a Mk2 tomorrow - hopefully......

That's way interesting Duke; just purchased a pair of used trims on eBay for £25 the pair and though I'll admit they were in a near new state I've handed 'em over to JP Alloys to get 'em powder coated gloss black.  With JP Alloys wondering if they can still do 'em should they decline then these spare ones will be off to Cerakote...

Well sourced, thank you...  :11:

Just an update on the trims guys, I rang up yesterday to make sure they were there but they said only one had arrived and that they had ordered the other for today. I've just picked them up both for £45, I'm not sure if they made a mistake though👍 they are the gloss black ones

Even with my discount they still Cody me £60!!
I polished mine before putting them on and I'm sure some of the black came of??
The ends are now a real shiny dark chrome.

I'm pretty sure those tabs should not be visable, do they need another push?

I have just had a battery drill and polishing cone on mine, it would have got snagged/shredded on clips like that.
Just come in for a brief break and next BTCC race before washing the car.

I bought this for the spiders, but misjudged the size, ( keys for scale) but it's brilliant for the exhausts tips.

Got mine on today as well. Different to the Audi ones as not black chrome so not gloss finish but exactly what I wanted.Attached File  image.jpg   45.39K   10 downloads

They look good Duke. I think you need to polish your car more though ;-)

Lol. Yeah I know what you mean. Had to edit the photo to obscure my image off the bumper.

However if you know the truth that in reality I only get around to clean the car about once every couple of months you would guess it doesn't look like that very often.
