Be interested on your thoughts to whether its all worth while too.  I like the idea however the switch would be a must have, Dont fancy the drone keeping the little one awake on long journeys.

Oh and I've been there done that with droning exhausts on the last three cars and it just get's annoying on long journeys.

Agree with you on this one MacD. Love the "S" mode. I have the "S" on all the time, except motorways which I find very boring zzzzzz.....

Is this guide still available in English at all? I have had a switch of my own added, but didn't know about the need for a resistor? Is it simply a case of wiring a resistor parallel to the new switch in order to avoid any ECU errors or performance issues?

Thank you

Seems the version posted has died, I have a copy of the German version...I'll get it translated and put in the 'Downloads' section this weekend.

That would be extremely helpful thank you. I had a go myself, but it is admittedly tedious and my patience ran a little short lol.

Hi Catnip,

I see that in your sept'13 post you mentioned that you'd upload the english version of the guide to manually control the exhaust flap.

I'd like to override the ecu program where it shuts the flap in 2nd and 3rd gear (its too quiet!).

I can't see it in the downloads section. Am I looking in the wrong spot, or could you upload again if you still have it.

Cheers,

Caveman

Hello ☺️

I've found your post for the flaps exhaust mod with sport button on RS3 8P.

Can you confirm me that this modification let us choose to fully open flaps at all gears and all rpm in sport mode on ?

In normal mode (sport mode off), it's the stock flaps mode correct ?

Can you make the modification for me on my car ? Sure I know it's not free and I'll pay for this if you confirm there will be no problems in the futur like a default in ecu ☺️

Thanks in advance for your response.

PS : I live in Switzerland

Best regards
Thomas

Thomas, the mod above works as an overide, seperate from the sports button.

It will give you ability to have flap open in all gears, at all revs/ speeds with a seperate hidden switch.

Turn the hidden switch off and normal function resumes.

I looked into it, but decided not to bother as I didn't want to cut into my wiring.

Welcome to the forum.

Would this do the same thing?

http://m.ebay.co.uk/...4772?nav=SEARCH
I know paulmc was going to buy something similar to this and said about it making it a lot louder when its opened but does it also make it avalaible to have the flaps open all the time no matter what? This might tempt me into getting jt.
