Nardograu, where do you get the idea that the sports exhaust has black tips? 

 

I can confirm that the car at the launch didn't have black tips (I was there and had a good look at the exhausts - because I wanted to see if I could do the same trick I did to my RS4 to set the flaps permanently open )  I think I could...

 

Have you seen the video by evo magazine in Finland where Catchpole says quite clearly that the test cars (which do sound amazing!) have the optional sports exhaust.  Several clear shots of the exhausts of the test cars show no black tips that I can see...

Sports exhaust on a TTRS and an RS4 has black ovals only. I don't think we know enough about the new RS3 to be able to say yet for certain however based on the the video above which sounds great that would be the one for me. TTRS plus with the sports exhaust is too loud / to much drone for me which you can't turn off. I'd want the control to suit mine and my passengers mood.

That's really interesting reading as looks as though the base spec is pretty much all I'm looking for except maybe the sports exhaust and wheels. Garby81 would be great if you're able to include the wheel prices too as they're obscured. Thanks!!

I have the TT-RS Plus and the Sport Button Alters Exhaust Note as well as Throttle Response which does take the drone away on Motorway runs etc.

Interesting thanks Real Thing the TTRS plus I had for the weekend didn't seem to shut up in traffic whether in sport or not. Fun on an open road not driving through traffic in London when it causes the wife to nag at you too.
