Nice one Vito, glad you are enjoying the new noise and response!

Steve, this is the best thread I've seen on TTRS S-tronic tuning, lots of graphs and figures to back up the claims and clearly shows the difference between stage I & II.  Just look at those Stage I 0-60 and 0-100 times  :)

I'm not a drag racer but those are some very impressive 1/4 mile times and look at what the TTRS does to a 996 Turbo and TVR muscle!

Vito, how did it feel on the way home, any different?

Why don't you address this same question to Catnip Mr_Freeze?    :84:

I'm sure he could add some valuable feedback - as experienced from the passenger seat!  :m0168:

HOT NEWS!

From a chip shop somewhere in Lancashire.

Reliable sources inform that the cost of a recent Cat By-pass pipes installation on an Audi RS3 have today increased dramatically!

His wife has just found out why his car sounds just that little bit throatier.

The owner of the said Audi RS3 commented: I have already made a promise that I am bound to keep!

Finally i got them!

For the record, there are labels on both pipes with the part number on but no warning label on either pipe.

Now just need to get them fitted ;)

Well i had a nice little drive yesterday that involved a spirited section or 2.

I don't know whether this is just a physcological response to the extra sound, but it definately feels like it rev's better, more crisper and slightly faster (Again it could be just in my head........Mark step in anytime and disect me).

So round town, no real noticable difference, but open her up and a definate deeper growl and a more pronounced "BRRRUUPP" on the upshift when pressed hard.

Verdict, not an expensive option but gives a pleasing result. VFM.

I think it's a combination of effects, removing the cats must remove some back pressure so you might feel a bit quicker pick up, maybe some power added, but even a full decat during Scooby days added about 10bhp.

Then there is the psychological effect for sure, you are more likely to push for the added growl, in turn that sound makes the whole experience feel faster.  This is why cars like the MP4-12C (and even the new Clio!) have those fake cockpit noise systems, sound is massive part of a great car experience.

So I think you are right Neil, you probably do get  bit better pick up and the extra growl (we could hear the difference at the meet on the side of the road, deeper, more bassy sound).  Great cost effective mod.
