Don't listen to them Vito, Scorpion is the better choice and costs less.

I just fitted my secondary cat bypass pipes today - they sound great!  Subtely louder, with a bit more bark on full throttle gear changes.  Still retains the quiet cruising nature with the exhaust valve closed too, which is a big bonus for me.

One of the things that is putting me off having a Milltek system or any other is the drone in the cabin on the motorway.

Despite what the manufacturers say every after market exhaust has had more drone than stock when sitting at a constant speed.

In the R32 70mph was pretty bad however if you sat at 80-85 it was fine...... Not ideal i know!

I found with the 2nd cat pipes the car retains its stock sound at low rev's and around town,  When you press on it really opens up releasing a great growl thats not to loud!

I agree, loud exhausts are fine when you're 17 but the drone annoys me too these days! Even the standard system in D with the sport button pressed makes a drone.

Blimey I'm getting old! But that's why I like being able to switch the sound - quiet on the commute, Quattro sound track on B roads.

Thats it, For the daily commute the non resonated Blueflame on the RS4 was a bloody pain.

When you really pushed on it was immense though.

Need the best of both worlds.

The RS4 with AAS non-res valved was marginally boomy at low rm but a GruppeM cured that, then it just sounded immense all the way from 1k rpm to the red line! It's about the only bit I miss about the '4 now.

To be honest on the motorway I was struggling to feel any difference, but when pressing on the accelerator form stand still there is no hesitation at all, I would say that it takes off just like when you do it with launch control, also when you are racing through the gears it is much better. Definitely  feels quicker and the sound and the popping when pressing on is so, whaooo , nice really nice !!!

Thats some garage John!

I'd never noticed any real performance gain as such,  It was all about the sound for me.

Guess there will be some BHP gain though as the restrictions have been lifted somewhat.

Happy then Vito?

Lets say that I am very happy, for now.... my next step could be the Forge intercooler, dont know yet.

But yes I am pleased. Especially after taking the paint off a GTR on the motorway yesterday :D

Speak to Grizz at Unit 20!  (Sponsor on here)

He knows his way around the RS and its where i'll be going if i decide the intercooler is what i want..... which i am still heavily considering!

I'm still considering going straight to stage 2 despite the extra cost vs gains .

Perhaps they do make a bit of difference then if mine was a bit more tourquey'er  (Is that even a word)

Its been worth it for the noise anyway.
