If it's a Sportback it should not rub, my summer wheels are 8.5 all round with slim spacers to make the ET 43, no rubbing on mine. Do not know if it's the same on the saloon as they use a different offset.

Now I´m back from tyre dealer, they shift my summer tyres to the R8, they were a bit worried that the rim would stand out as there are 8.5 on the R8 wheel and original 8. But as you can see in the photo, they are actually fit quite good. Thanks to Pirelli tire protection that they stand out so much.

@Ozmosis @JamesBaby - Thanks for the info. I will try to change my tyres before the weekend. I will update you if they are ok or if the rub.

Has anyone here used LK Performance for alloy wheels?

Their price for the GMP Italia Atom is some £150 cheaper than LD Prestige! Is this too good to be true, are there service/delivery issues with LK?

I am looking at the LDM091 at LDPrestige and they are 780 Euros plus, delivery. They are exact replica to Audi Tippytoes, the ones you mention are a different design, slightly. Must say I prefer the Audi replicas. Other ones look good though and offer free fitting.

Yes I have considered the LM091 which are comparable price (and IMO look better) to the Atom, but I was a bit concerned with clearance to outer wheel arch as they come in 39 offset which will stick out 16.4 mm further than OEM (www.willtheyfit.com). The Atom wheel comes in 45 offset which is probably a better fit as they only poke out 10.4 mm more than OEM. LD's price for the Atom is a lot more than the LDM091, and more than LK Performance price.

However, if the 39 offset works then the LMM091 with MPS4S tyres (235 all round) & TPMS from LD Prestige comes to £1,572 which is cheaper than the equivalent Atom wheel (45 offset) package from LK Performance (£1,695). Both package prices are very reasonable.

Now I have fit the R8 wheels on the RS3  I think it suit the car very well. Much better than the original.

No rubbing on front or rear wheel.

I know, my car it's dirty, I will wash it soon  ;)

Tippytoes, this is image of Hartmann wheels which haveET 38. LD Prestige recommend ET 35 when you enter RS3 saloon detail on their site.

Well I'm going round in circles (well you would with wheels) as to which one to go for - I think I have narrowed it down to 3 - the LDM091, the Atom or the AF6. What do you guys think? I prefer the simple lines of the LDM091 which is the cheapest but in black has ET 42 (whereas in anthracite it has ET45!). Both the Atom & AF6 have ET45 which I think is better fit for sportback. The AF6 is most expensive, well it is from Avus racing.

LD Prestige package price (rim + MPS4S + TPMS + fitting & balancing) is LDM091 @ £1,565; Atom @ £1,608 and AF6 @ £1,753

I'm really pleased with my ET 42 LDM091 wheels - I think they're great quality and have had no issues with them whatsoever - the fact that they are also the cheapest of the three is handy too  ;)

They look great against the Ara,blue Alex. Please tell us, what size of tyre did you end up using and what is the ET of these R8 rims?
They look very similar in style to the Prestige LDM091 and, your pictures here are making my final decision. I just need to be more happy that ET 35, as Prestige recommend for the saloon, will work ok.

When I see Alex's pictures above it's the LDM091 in gloss black for my catalunya red saloon. It will have black optics pack so these wheels will hopefully look the business!

For anyone that’s interested after yesterday’s wheel swapping and hub painting I had chance to inspect the rear inside rim on the LD Prestige wheels.
Now over the period they’ve been on the car I’ve had more than my fair share of pot hole run ins
Some of them I’d honestly thought would’ve bent the alloy, however upon cleaning them yesterday I carefully inspected all the rims and tyres for any signs of damage and I’m pleased to report zero issues.

Thanks for sharing and good of you to do it. What a great forum this is with great guys sharing experiences and offering very useful advice.
That makes ordering these 091 babies all the more easy. I'm just gonna check tyre prices at my local on Monday and then get ordering!!

Very good to hear that as I was tempted to go for the Avus AF6 wheels on basis they would be stronger but now feel I've saved some money by going with LDM091's - many thanks for feedback.

I swap from my original Pirelli tyres. 235 all around. R8 8.5x19" front wheels have ET42. And it have a lot of space between the wheel and the caliper. see the photo.

Just be aware ET35 Will push out the wheel quite far out. I try with a 10mm spacers on ET42= ET32. With the pirelli tyres didn’t work. With Michelin PS4 maybe...
