Revo have now launched their offering using Alcon discs at a great price of £750+VAT vs the alternative of Tarox and Vagbremtechnic (AP Racing discs)

That's why I posted it in the brake problem thread as it seemed more useful in there.

2 places better than 1 - that is a long going thread and the post will end up being in the middle of it whereas this one is easy for the link back to Revo.

Good idea...

Best price on them outside of eBay £850

I've spoken to the seller to see if a 'forum' (old fashioned I know) discount could be made available to the RS3 owners club (yes I know I know it's old fashioned)

Which reseller have you contacted? I could ask my one too.

I'm struggling to decide on what pads to use

V Hub
Which are Revo Gloucester

He is the 1st Revo dealer to actively market this disc.

When I asked him about oem pads he said they work well with the Alcon discs.

I'll be sticking with new OEM pads when I change to these.

Damn these discs are sexy.

If I wouldn't be paying 40€ a month for the wear and tear package (which covers the brake discs and pads) I would go for these Alcon discs.

Currently talking to a dealer in Germany. TÜV shouldn't be a problem since they're running those discs on Golf R's and TT-RS.

He drives a TT-RS himself with this disc on the Nordschleife.

Why are you chaps swapping? Problems with OE or just want to change?

My thinking exactly. No worries for now but looking at future options when that time comes.

Had an email back from Graham....

He says best price is £850 on these, as they are only working on tight margins, Knowing how much another member paid for a set, I'd say these are a good buy.

Don't forget to switch all four corners otherwize it doesn't either look or functoning as good as it was ment to do. Plus you have to replace all pads also so 850 is just a good start to be honest. I am waiting for Tarox setup both front/rear discs and with their own pads ending up a little below 1450£ which I think its pretty ok.

Why change the rears ?

Especially if the pads and discs are ok.

Ok, mine aren't and the quality is pretty bad even on those rear discs. I don't know what went wrong but the rears are gone and needs replacement and Audi says its common and don't want to pay for that. I have checked around a little too with tuners and they have experied the same thing that they don't gonna last long vs original discs on for instance on a normal car as the A5 which I had for 3 years with 37000 miles on the clock and working fine, these on the RS3 were done already after just 8700 miles and I am not paying for oem non quality, both discs and pads aren't so good. Tarox F2000 style needs to be upgraded fronts and rears because they are looking so differently than oem and quality should be much better.

Question is rather: What will you do when rear discs needs replacement oem or aftermarket, for me its easy.
