I've got the rs4/5 oe brembos pads out of the car now so I'll take a pic
Cutting off the connector is pretty easy job if you're handy with a soldering iron, and have some high temp tape to wrap around the solder

Hmmmm... Well, pads will probably arrive today for me. I don't really have access to a workshop to faff about changing the connectors myself - Do you have a recommended solution for them, T-800?
Cut the sensor wire and solder to oem plug off the old pads

Car side is 2 pin male connector
Pad needs to be 2 pin female connector

Straightforward then..........
Cut the Male off, solder the female OEM on, wrap up exposed wire with suitable tape.

For sure the most popular thread subject, first seen in February 2012, for the Audi RS3 on ANY forum
Why oh why won't Audi UK or Audi GmbH just LISTEN and DO something about the ONE issue that frustrates so many owner/drivers of what some (me for one) believe the most perfect ALL weather, 4-seat, QUICK and usable motor car...
Good that some us can make the necessary changes ourselves...

PFC does have a pad for R8, RS4 and Rs6 that should fit. They are far superior to EBC in my opinion.

No surprise that it was the side with the cooling vanes running the wrong direction
The brake issues has put a damper on how I've been using the car for country hill run driving, and I'm now looking at other options in the market that have more thorough engineering behind them.... problem is that engine is just too good to give up
This is what my new oe brembo pads looked like on that warped side after one hill run
I've now got new oem discs with my original oem pads which I sanded to a smooth finish. I will make a point of running the car with traction off as I feel what is exacerbating the heat build up is the car constantly dabbing the brakes to keep the front end on point, even is traction sport mode
I toyed with idea of removing the backing plates to help dissipate heat, but given how susceptible the discs are to temp change, I'm worried a splash of water from a puddle will just warp them again

Unless there is a proper solution to the OEM discs in the near future, I will be replacing them with something else as soon as they show trouble. I can't believe even moderate road use can cause such trouble, it's really appalling...

Just so E A S Y; now PLEASE go tell/shout at Andrew Bartosiak (Bart) at EBC UK and then Audi UK/GmbH
What a disgrace for Audi/Brembo/Pagid and Co., to malign such a wonderful motor car as is the Audi RS3 with piss-poor (a technical term I assure you) brakes...

Excellent work Mr Raptor!
I assume fitting was easy enough? did you leave the caliper in situ?
did you push the pistons back in with fingers? (fluid reservoir cap off)

Caliper stays where it is.Pistons push back easily with finger pressure.Once wheel`s off takes 2 mins per side.

Tap out the anti-rattle pins, remove the anti-rattle springs then pads slide out towards you
There's a cutout for a caliper 'peg' in the pad, this locates them in the caliper housing.
No need to remove caliper.

So what do you guys reckon.
Is it worth changing pads only?
I guess it would work even better with upgrade discs like Movits or so.
But since I have the Audi Fleet Comfort package which basically pays for my discs and pads it wouldn't be the wisest decision to throw that away.
On the other hand I'm interested to see what new pads can do for the performance.

Fitted the new Redstuff pads today.I have to say that straightaway there is a lot more braking force for the same pedal input.Quite noticeably better.Time will tell if they start to squeal.None so far.Bliss.

Strangely I didn't experience any low speed squeal by now. Except that one time when I drove 2 hours of Autobahn at 30°C > 200 km/h.
But what I also noticed was that there was a grinding noise altough I didn't apply any brake pressure.
Other than that the brakes worked alright so far.
Still I would like to have a solution for the brakes in general to make them perform better.
