8V is only limited by the number of people that order them. Time will tell, all that I can see is that the 8P is holding up well which is good for 8P owners and 8V is going through the normal depreciation curve

Anyone concerned about the depreciation of the RS3 MK1?

Don't think the mk2 is unlimited numbers red - not with talk of a saloon version, and also a Dave lift current model in the pipe line. I reckon 3 more months and order books closed for this current beastSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When the 8p was launched Audi announced there would only be 500 units coming to the UK ,that allocation sold within weeks and Audi decided on another 250 so in effect 750 UK cars, they've not set an allocation for the 8v hence there's no limited numbers.

The sport back A3 was first introduced in 2005 so the actual platform is about 7 years old with a refresh half way through.
Would imagine the 8v will be the same, however the RS has been introduced 2 years into its lifecycle so would have 5 years to run.

Remember that was up until end of September 2015, Qtr4 is still not logged on that site. Given the number of 8V owners on the forum who have threads up about build weeks or have taken delivery since October 1st I'm guessing 8V numbers will be significantly more than 8P perhaps even by end of Qtr 4 2015 or end Q1 2016 at latest.

If you want something Audi and rare, RS7, only just over 225... but they depreciate like Sports Direct shares.

Well there's already 390 MK2 registered so will be interesting to see the total amount made
And only 723 8P left as of Q3 2015... 27 gone already?

It is something I've looked but to be far for same money RS6 = more space
Was shocked how many SQ5 had been sold

When I was looking for a new car I considered an RS3 but they were out of my price range back then so I settled for an S3.
I have just bought my 8P RS3 and can honestly say they haven't depreciated much since I was looking last time. I think the Mk1 will steady off and pretty much hit a rock bottom fairly soon and they are only getting rarer,

If you spec a good Q5 then price an SQ5 you will find it cheaper, the only reason I didn't buy one was it could not have towing equipment fitted, so we went for a huge spec Q3 instead.

Thats stellar money! Although if thats against a new Audi there is some incentive $ in there to do the deal ...

Was going to upgrade to Mk2 had one for the day but just didn't feel it warranted the extra 22k so think may keep the mk1 and get a RS4 on PCP
And start using S4 as daily drive

if you got that for trade in then certainly use it to your advantage on your next deal, RS4 seems like a good shout, still a while off yet though. Considering I only got 23500 for mine in the end I levied the new car price and managed to get a 9% per cent discount of list.

Mine's in for a 10-year haul, period; allowed for a ZERO value at the end so £5K per year depreciation so anything above that in September 2021 will be a bonus: and anyone interested start saving now:
Might have 30K miles on it by then, maybe....
