Speed limit unlock too though, Audi charge about £1000 just for that when you order the car new!

Don't these car actually have close to 400PS stock when tested? Pretty sure I've seen 387 and 397ps mentioned.
Beware headline numbers - the torque increase in mid range is what makes the difference on the road, or at least it does on my mk 1

Mine has shown all sortsMine standard was showing 406bhp and 496Nm

over rather than under I hopeMine has shown all sorts

3 different rollers 3 different results and they're way out
Surely the biggest difference with a map will be the torque increase regardless of the bhp increase eg it will feel substantially quicker even if bhp is only slightly more.

Edit - oops as booker says above!

It is although some people aren't bothered about possible warranty implications and/or have a good relationship with their dealer so it isn't an issue for them.

For any large value warranty work, you're friendly dealer WILL hook your cars diagnostic to the factory for interrogation prior to authorising a claim. Most dealers/ Networks have an in-house warranty chap will can sign off upto a value.
I think lunched turbos/clutches, melted pistons and legs thrown out of bed may be a different story...
Having done over 6000 miles on mine since September, i have finally got round to scratching the 'lack of torque' itch. I'm up and down the motorway quite a lot and, while i love the car to bits, the lack of torque is a bit frustrating. Its up and down the gears all the time from 7 down to 6 or 5 at the slightest incline or load.
So, today i invested in the Revo remap.
I've literally only driven it up the M1, however i can honestly say the difference in torque is like night and day. Its a very worthy investment. I opted for 'performance mode 3' which is optimised for 98RON fuel, and so far i am very impressed. The options were;
For all the number junkies out there, i don't have the actual figures (ps, lbft, etc) as this doesn't really interest me. I was far more inclined to assess the difference in actual drive-ability, i.e. how does it pull when over taking, is it hunting for a gear to drop down to in order to generate some torque, etc. As i said, its a massive improvement with both.
I have been offered a free dyno run by the guy who did it for me which i may take up in the future, but like i said it wasn't a numbers exercise.
Why did i choose Revo ?
In all honesty, i have known far more people who have used Revo than any other mapping solution or custom map, and Revo ones have reported very few issues with it, so i swayed that way. I'm sure all of the others provide similar gains, however the method some companies use to obtain these gains, to me (with only a limited understanding) seems a bit questionable, but i guess time will tell. The guy who did the remap for me showed me a blown RS3 engine which had been mapped by a different company (i'm not saying who, as that would be unethical from a business perspective) which cost £15k and Audi wouldn't cover it with their warranty.
One of the factors i hadn't fully understood when researching the different mapping companies was that the Revo 'stock' map isn't back to 'Audi stock' - it is just Revo's version of the standard Audi map. If the car needs to go in to Audi and you are a bit twitchy about warranty etc, the company that maps it (pushes the Revo flash) needs to revert it back to Audi stock, however i believe it increments a counter that states how many times it has been flashed. Don't quote me on this last sentence, it is simply how i interpreted a technical explanation.
Anyway, its on there now and i'm happy with it - im just not sure why Audi dont ship it with this level of torque as ultimately the drive-ability is improved.
Next on the list are ...
Springs - H&R maybe ...(still not convinced if lowering the car will affect the level of 'comfort' and i also don't want the wheels hitting the wheel arches with the roads the way the are in West Yorkshire)
Alloys - i'm having a real nightmare about choice here - so many to choose from but i like the OZ Italia 150 Anthracite, the Vossen ones on the QST car, or the OZ graphite Superturismo ......
thoughts appreciated ..

- Setting #1 on your SPS sets your vehicle to stock
- Setting #2 on your SPS sets your vehicle to Revo Performance mode A (Tuned for lower octane pump fuel/poor operating conditions e.g:95ron)
- Setting #3 on your SPS sets your vehicle to Revo Performance mode B (Tuned for high octane pump fuel/good operating conditions e.g:98ron)
- Setting #4 on your SPS sets your vehicle to Revo Performance mode C (Tuned for high octane fuel/ideal operating conditions e.g:100ron)

Yes it can.
If the car goes in to Audi, the Audi map would need to be put back on if warranty is a concern.
