Start on 5 all round and then tweak from there. I currently have mine on 5 front 3 rear but that is because I have the 034 bar on the back. Can't remember ride height but the front was dropped more then the rear 10mm rear 15mm front maybe?

I agree that the fronts are lowered more than the rears but I seem to recall mine is 25mm lower at front and 20mm at rear. Hope this doesn't confuse you Marshy

Thanks for the info from both of you
Just trying to see what you've kind of settled on. This will give me an idea or starting point.
Booker what stiffness settings are you running?
I see P_G is running 5 front 3 rear, I'm assuming 3 is softer?

3 is harder, 1 hardest - 10 softest and it says on the dial when you look at them. I went 7 at the rear thinking it would soften up the rear but what it actually did was made it more bouncy whilst soft so went the other way and it has worked perfectly because of the rigidity in the rear with the 034 bar. Still enough compliance but the rear does not feel like you are sitting over the rear axle of a bus on a mountain pass or a bucking bronco! If you have the OEM bar on rear if you did want to have more pliability then you probably would go 7.

As for ride height, IIRC the max drop on them is 20mm rear and 25mm front booker

P_G I'm running standard rear bar again!
Not that I'm doubting you but the stiffness setting on the Bilstein website shows
1 = Comfort 10 = Sport

I can't find it now typically but when this last came up there was a graph available showing the level of dampening and rebound increasing proportionate to the higher number on the click wheel. When I was testing it out on holiday, I had the rears on 9 and the fronts on 7 and it was very soft and understeery because there was no firmness there. I then moved back to 5 front and 3 rear and the sharpness in the steering response and turn in has returned. Just going by how it feels to me.

Thanks for the replies
I remembered your posts in an earlier thread.
I'll start at 5 & 5 and have a play I think.

IIRC there are certain kits where the adjustability is the reverse to the PSS10's

Checked with Revolution and they are pretty sure they dropped the car 15mm front and 10mm rear over OEM but it is personal preference and mine was quite low already

DHL brought them from Germany to the U.K. within 2 days yet it takes Parcelforce 4 days to bring from Coventry!
Oh well maybe tomorrow

They clearly need a fleet of RS3's Marshy!  :)

Bilstein B14's now fitted and I have to say, what an improvement it is over stock!

Feels much more solid and competent now, but still gives enough compromise and forgiveness in the ride not to be harsh.  So happy with the results and obviously the look is 100% better with just a very small gap between tyre and arch.  Oh and front wheel inner arch liner screw removed for good measure too.

Will post some pictures when I get chance to clean the bloody thing!!

That'd help
Or they could just employ people who could be bothered to provide good customer service.
I honestly feel like I've been dealing with Audi UK, you know the drill,
Yes sir I'll do that for you now!
They get off the phone and say "he can bugger off"

Eventually got these today
They look very well made and top quality.
I can confirm on my set that 1 is comfort and 10 is sport.
I'm going to start with 3 all round.

Bilsteins seem to certainly be the popular choice but has anyone had KW's fitted? how do they compare?

They're near on same cost but you get a stainless body with the KW which in my book is a massive benefit from experience with previous coilovers and corrosion from the salt

ah ok, everything i've read suggested they are Triple coated Aluminium alloy. Fair bit cheaper if imported thats for sure.. just wondered how they compared if anyone knew as you also get independent compression and rebound on the KW

Used to run KW V3's on 2 previous cars and they are stunning bits of kit when setup properly.  If your budget can stretch that far then they would be on my potential choices list.  My only concern and the reason I chose Billy's this time is because the last set of KW's a mate of mine had started leaking and he had no end of issues trying to get the replaced.

In fairness it might have been the same story with Billsteins but obviously I don't know for sure!
