If your RS3 is a keeper and you need/want buckets then could look at some aftermarket like the Cobra Misano?

But then they are £1200 each with heating and a few more to replace the Cobra with RS3 ??  ;)

Pat - surely you are going for something custom in your pocket rocket ???

Oh and whats the current BW on that ?? Can I see it on the Tracker ?? :D

I'm trying push the build along as much as possible and I'm hoping for some pics this week to post on the next step of the body......I've asked for an update by the end of the week
I'm in Spain until middle October so it's heard to just drop in !!
I'm on build week 46 at present you can track it on mystic meg in the sun newspaper (I use the word news very loosely)

I'd have loved to change seat for some lightweight mad buckets but at a show I still think the RS buckets will suit the car so the interior looks as it should (ish) and in Anthracite silver and orange leather it should cause enough discussion....... oh any maybe a leopard print headlining lol

Seriously I just hope more than anything it's done before everyone on here that has supported the build and commented has not moved on to motors new and we can all have a good laugh chat and debate
And a few groans as bits break or go bang lol

I'd looked at them, they are lovely aren't they. Those are what I'd considered along with some more radical ones... Anne said they were lovely but her words, are they that different to what you've got to be worth buying and then re trimming
She's got a point Colin

Yes - they are close to the RS3 8P originals so she does have a point. And having met the lovely Anne I would not argue with her [too often]  :)

I was looking at them for another car....

Surely the best option would be a pair of Recaro Sportster CS's.  They even do a heated version.

Yes - I looked at them as well and liked the alcantara through the centre. Didint realise they come heated too - only that they do a side airbag option

Heated I like but not essential for my car, airbags I'm not bothered about tbh

Pat - price i have from HMS Motorsport is £999 but thats unheated.

I really like them and if I have to buy buckets a difficult choice between the two, although i am a fan of alcantara centres. Is more grippy, a bit softer in the right places, and of course probably means dont need to heat the seats. Downside is that means rears need to be re-trimmed to match ...

Personally i hate putting aftermarket seats. I'm most likely going to upgrade to the buckets on my order. Should be quite rare with buckets later on like the mk1 RS3.

The sportster CS's are what the Mk1 Buckets are based upon. They use the same frames but are then 'Audised' to make them look better/different.

I believe you can get a wider figment version too and are around £1200 a seat.

Yh I had the buckets in the mk1 RS3. The leather on the new buckets look more durable aswell where on the super sports seats they look soft and easily creasable. Like my s3 only did 3000 miles and the bolster was creased like it did 50000.

If I were to go for them they would be re trimmed anyway in my chosen colours along with everything else

Thanks for the wider fitment heads up.....I think that's a must...for Anne of course lol

I need ro decide very soon.....oh god not more hours and sleepless nights decision making
My current ones are due to go under the scissors in a couple of weeks

Those CS' still look similar to mine but less bulky and a bit more sporty and modern....What are all your thoughts guys ? cos I do listen (remember the paint designs done on Forza Motorsport ?)

Rear seats Colin are being made to look like just two seats with some bolstering to try and attempt to look bucketish !! Losing centre headrest and seatbelt too

personally i would stick to what you have now have them retrimmed. They're very similar and not really an upgrade
