scotexile, there were big incentives on the B8 RS4 last year because they weren't selling, anything up to the VAT off. I had the chat with Carlisle Audi and explained that between initial depreciation, uncertainty over residuals and wanting to see the car had a shake down on issues before I bought that I wasn't interested for this year at least.

Just shows how that market has evolved in 2yrs - the deal I was offered in June 2013 was similar to what you're describing P_G. That campaign was specifically to get people tied into RS rather than hang out for the Merc and Bimmer variants. I was approached again last Summer, similar offer, but didn't realise it was because they weren't selling. I passed because of the ageing interior - but love the exterior!

Now in 2015, I couldn't get a build slot ....

It was also combined that they weren't selling at home, neither were VW hence all the fantastic lease deal on 7GolfR's but now the market is flooded with them  both and residuals are crape unless you are planning on keeping for 4+ years. IIRC there were more B8 RS4's on Autotrader at one stage than B7's of all variants combined.

All with the , imo, naff silver interior. I think i probably dislike that as much as Roy hates Nardo

Yes every mk2 I have seen in photos or person has the silver interior

I suspect they're trying to generate interest in the silver interior by putting into demonstrators to let people see it. I'm not a big fan of the super sport seats in the A3, especially the perforated detail inside the diamond - but particularly in silver it looks awful (in my opinion).

Anyone seen silver interior in the standard seats? Hopefully against a black or a sepang car for contrast!

i went into bolton Audi a couple of days back and they had a nardo RS3 with alu pack with white leather it did not float my boat one bit . and the price didn't either £49.685 .  the strange thing is i was doing some online banking this morning and strangely enough i owe £49.685 to the penny on my mortgage . more to the point nardo did not do it for me and the white leather i just could not live with day to day .

I looked at a Daytona grey one today and I think the colour really suited the car!
I think the back end is gorgeous and it's nice from the side but what's happened to the front?
At least the mk1 looked aggressive and suited the alu trim!
The mk2 looks really understated from the front and compared to the mk1 a disappointment. It just doesn't say wow.

Couldn't agree more...MK1 definitely looks better from the front that's for sure!!

Seen Teesside Audi's RS3 demonstrator today which looks like Mythos Black and for me, the matte alu pack does absolutely nothing for it. The chin strap looks poor and the rear diffuser detailing is no better. I'm out for the time being.

I'm guessing you've had some bad experiences mate? I once tried to deal with Teesside Audi when I lived in that area - was basically ignored
