P.S. The RS6 is not DSG, it's got the (incredible to the point everyone can't believe it's a slush box) ZF 8 speed. I agree it makes excellent upshift noises tho!

I really like Nardo but I would have had to go with black pack and upgrade the wheels to make it look right - that's an extra £3k just for that exterior touch-up.

I read Chris Harris's review a lot and agree with him on the 6 - needs to be a bit of a sleeper. However his idea of a de-badged Nardo with no privacy glass and no black-pack was a step too far for me.

I've gone Daytona with Privacy and of course the (manadory B) ) sports exhaust!

Everything is practically standard in it - it's more down to the tech upgrades in the options list and that gets expensive ... fast!!

Yea, it's wonderfully fun to throw around thanks to its light weight and short wheelbase.

I never thought I'd go back having had S-Tronic for the last 3 years or so - and I had a major hang-up about it, until I tried it ....

I reckon Daytona is the best colour for a 6....apart from BRG which I'm suddenly becoming very fond of....

Lovely spec! cant wait to see some pictures when it arrives!! I take it the RS4 was a No for you as well or was it power which drove you to getting the 6?

Same, never thought I'd have a slush box, then I got the SQ5. The ZF is amazing! It's 'goodness' does depend on it's programming though. I've experienced it in Land Rovers, Jags, BMW's, Audi's... It's always a good auto, but it's only special in a couple of guises.

Mate the RS6 is Audis ultimate flagship model and by far a great choice ;) ....

Put it this way... 367bhp with a 0-60 time in 4.3 or 560bhp with a 0-60 in 3.9.....

if that doesn't entertain anyone then I am sure the sound of the RS6 will turn heads....as much as I love my RS3....the RS6 would be a clear choice by far. (My MD's got the RS6, 14 plate at the time and when he put his foot down I physically felt butterflies that much I actually told him to chill out! lol  ...so I know the capabilities of this car)

I am sure you will enjoy. :D ...get some pictures up when you get it...

What colour/spec did you go with?

I've been waiting for years having been given the bug by the C6 RS6 at Goodwood about 7 years ago - Audi Experience Day at the FoS. Simply astounded me what a normal family estate could do

The main problem with the RS4 was availability - this was first on the list before the RS3 but I couldn't get a build slot. We currently have a B8 A4 S-Line and it's a good car, served us very well - but I won't deny that the interior shows it's age. Also, by the time I'd spec'd up the RS4, I was knocking right on the door of the RS6.

At the end of it, the RS6 wasn't as far out of my reach as I had thought (the Audi finance calculator doesn't tell the whole story!)

I'm not feeling too special - parked at the railway station last week and there were 2 daytona RS6's in the car park! I'll be in good company then

Ahh fair enough..but nonetheless great choice, especially with the sports exhaust option! I'm excited for you! :)
