Because it's not a colour!
In my garage: RS3 8V Sepang blue, standard wheels and trim, SS seats in black/grey with grey headlining, comfort and sound, dynamic pack, dipping door mirror, no farting pack,

I actually like it as well. If I wasn't going all black it would probably be my second choice (or Catalunya)

I am still undecided on whether to go for the New RS3....might sit out a bit and see what everyones day-to-day driving opinion is...plus I am in love with this black RS4 at Manchester Audi.... ...cant make my mind up though.....

I couldn't afford Nardo even if I liked it enough. You HAVE to add the black pack, black mirrors, red calipers, privacy glass and black or grey wheels. And probably black roof rails. That makes it a lot more expensive than blue, red, black or daytona, all of which look fine without the above extras. With all the extras it does look different to most performance cars and quite striking, I'll give it that. If 99% of all the cars on the road weren't some sort of grey/silver then it could be an understandable choice. As an RS nerd I will see a Nardo car and think it's a striking and brave choice, because I know what it is and can see the subtle cues.
You know what would make a great colour for an RS3? British Racing Green. I've seen it on some RS4s and 6s and it is very different, noticable but classy.

Now that does look nice, but I reckon I like the Nardo colour because its different..but it is to its individual preferences....this is coming from a guy who inherently loves grey! in fact I actually own more grey colours than anything else....lol...maybe I am going out on a limb here...but I don't like conforming to the rest....
No doubt that British Racing green looks sweet....but I am actually strugging to find a colour that RS3 wont look good in....
P.S. Roy this is incase you mention Nardo

I've been wavering all weekend about a switch to Nardo on the 6 - thought I'd talked myself out of it, now I'm not so sure!
I had a call from the dealer this morning, my build week on the 6 has come forward 4 weeks, now BW29 so decided not to jeopardise that with a last minute spec change! So for now, I'll be absent from the NardoFest ...

You got an RS6 coming?

Yes - listened to my heart, cancelled the RS3 and ordered an RS6 (that noise you hear is the empty echo of my piggy bank!)
Ironically, the 6 will be here way before the 3 was due

Mate the RS6 is Audis ultimate flagship model and by far a great choice ....
Put it this way... 367bhp with a 0-60 time in 4.3 or 560bhp with a 0-60 in 3.9.....
if that doesn't entertain anyone then I am sure the sound of the RS6 will turn heads....as much as I love my RS3....the RS6 would be a clear choice by far. (My MD's got the RS6, 14 plate at the time and when he put his foot down I physically felt butterflies that much I actually told him to chill out! lol ...so I know the capabilities of this car)
I am sure you will enjoy. ...get some pictures up when you get it...
What colour/spec did you go with?

My Mrs gets this in the S1 big time! I need to get an RS6 or R8 on loan for a day and see what she does then!

Its really strange though...only happens to me when I am a front passenger...but when driving practically non existent....
The way the RS6 takes off though is something else and the DSG fart sound between gears is ammaazzinnngggg!
I bet your S1 is like a bullet as well....light and nippy!

Yea, it's wonderfully fun to throw around thanks to its light weight and short wheelbase.
P.S. The RS6 is not DSG, it's got the (incredible to the point everyone can't believe it's a slush box) ZF 8 speed. I agree it makes excellent upshift noises tho!
