Anyone ever seen an RS3 with mudflaps, or better still a photo?  They probably look stupid and, if the above thread is anything to go by, won't be branded RS3, more likely Polo or something.   Naturally I plan to drive my RS3 on gravel special stages most of the time and want to protect the paintwork, otherwise Sepang will become Nardo...

I don't think, I know that if you order that dealer fit accessory you will be getting a call from the dealer saying 'err, sorry sir, these are A3 illuminated sills - we presume you don't want us to fit them?'.
I have also spoken with my dealer since it came up on here and they spoke to both Audi UK and AG and confirmed that as of now there is no RS3 illuminated sill available.

If it was a factory option I'd agree with you, there is no way they would send them out the door with A3 branded sills, but it's an accessory, which makes it a very different matter!

I agree with you if it was a factory option then there is no way but there's no car available "as of now" either so I'm sure they will be available at some stage as they are for the S3.

As you say, they could/should make an RS3 version but it will be a new part number (see my post on part numbers above).

To be fair, the way that the dealer fit accessories tab has been added to the configurator is confusing. The accessories brochure is for the mainline model - because 90% of the time it won't matter which variants you're after. It's the same for the other RS models. The accessories brochure won't have been updated for the RS3 yet.

I would always have any conversations about accessories with the dealer direct and outside of the actual car purchase. The sales guys then normally put you in touch directly with the Parts Department and they deal with it (quite correctly, they are parts after all).

At the end of the day, configurators are there for guidance and illustrative purposes to help customers spec a car. They not necessarily 100% representative.

Equally no point bashing someone just trying to get what he wants and in good faith. I hope these illuminated RS3 sills do materialize Ryanjosh .....

Whatever Jose ,im sure people who want them aren't really interested in part numbers just the fact that they can/ will be able to have them,so let's draw a line under the subject and move on .

No one knows if/when they will make an RS3 version and your comments are just giving people the wrong impression, potentially leading them to disappointment when they order A3 sills and their dealer is too stupid or disinterested to warn them.

I'm not the one that keeps going on RS3DAN brought up the subject this mornings and you carried it on ,I forgot you know it all as you've only been driving for three years or so so ,I'll say again draw a line under it and move on.

I'm not a 20 yr old if that's what you mean!? I've been a car fanatic for ~15 years and chose to get my license late in life after I'd bought the important stuff like houses as I knew I'd blow a load of dollar on cars instead otherwise.
I happen to know A LOT about the V.A.G. ordering and parts allocation process, I shared my knowledge so people could use it to make an informed choice, and you decided to come and piss on it with absolutely no facts or evidence other than what you personally think or would like to happen - yet felt the need to present theses wants and needs as gospel fact.
You seem to spend a lot of time on these forums posting jibes and it really doesn't make you come across as a very nice person...

I know for a fact the RS3 will come with RS3 logo's on the cill plates, why though would anyone want them illuminating ??
