However, a parts manager may take an order, using an existing part number to create the order number with full knowledge that what he's actually after is something that doesn't either a.fully exist yet and b. Have an assigned part number.
This is the clarity that anyone who's after this option needs - which I think is what you're trying to get at?
I guess a bit of interest here as the bigger siblings come with them as standard

Agree - back to relationships at the dealer .... and a good parts manager!!Indeed scotexile. People can register interest with their dealers parts dept in anticipation of the part becoming available if they want (and if people want to see this part I suggest they do).
But if you do this you'll need to be very clear with your dealer as plenty will just take the A3 part number and order it!

So, these illuminated sills..... someone mentioned they are powered by a battery on a closed circuit?? You have to charge them?
