I'm looking at M3's too, just need to get a drive in one...the noise won't be as good though !

I think you will be pleasantly surprised mate, they are awesome to drive

I see bmw have dropped there finance rate on the M4 to 4.89% this means that the figures are very similar to an RS3 so I'm tempted to go this route for a couple of years then go RS3 next time

Probably being daft but figures are very similar how? The residual after 48 months is only 1k more than the RS3 and even if you spec up a 50k RS3 by the time you've stuck a few options on the m3 it must be 60k + even if they offering discounts - unless the discount are enormous - runs off to check!! ;)

The residual on the RS3 was £19,500 from my dealer, the residual on a standard M4 £24,120 and if you put a couple of options on it this increases the residual slightly whereas Audi it doesn't, bmw centre contribution at just over £1,000 (bet there's more to be had!) Audi finance 6.4% against bmw 4.89%

Residual after 48 months, 45k, 7k deposit = £22253 with £536 p/m.

I've been basing it on the residual above as my dealer seems to be awol. Makes a big difference if so. Interesting to see what might be possible on an m3 though! :)

If you like 2 doors...somebody on PH got 15% discount on a factory order M4 just lately, so there are discount's to be had.

If Audi had launched the RS3 properly I wouldn't be thinking about going to the dark side.

Do you know which dealer gave him 15%?

Nope and I think it was an end of quarter deal, but apparently 10% inc the dealer contribution is achievable.

An M4 fully specced for a lower monthly payment than an RS3!! What do I do!?

Think I already know the answer!

Glad so many people are going BMW instead of RS3 now hopefully won't see as many about making me feel extra special that I have one 😃

Only problem though will be for those poor people having to go from the frying pan of Audi service (which isn't too bad in my experience) into the fire of BMW service and sales people.......

Me too ... 14 of them over the years. Have owned all of the M3's and driven the new M4 on an extended "spirited" drive - the RS3 is a better all rounder inmho. And fed up fighting the the image of the average BMW driver i.e. aggressive , arrogant , and vain...  :boxing:

You wouldn't catch me having a 'spirited' drive in any BMW on our winter roads unless it was perfectly straight!
