Yeh thanks for the MJ endorsement Im driving poor Junior insane at MJ Interiors, changing shades and ideas etc.....I'm still trying find a slightly darker Royal blue that matches better
I'm even getting on my own nerves over the whole thing so poor MJ and PSI are at their wits end
I'm using audio images in Bradford as well to work with MJ on the trimming of the install they seem really enthusiastic too and very helpful
I'm very interested in talking to the OC member who has done similar to his engine and body
As for the intake system I'm not sure what if anything has been chosen yet but I suspect we will be routing a pretty comprehensive idea as all engine and drivetrain will be as Motorsport as possible

Front end drive brakes and steering underway
Had great long chat with David Brown on Saturday who's forging ahead with the manufacturing of the bespoke bits needed to make all the TTRS bits fit along with the R8GT front brakes and Aston calipers plus the Boxter rears and the bits to make them fit as well

The 20x9" RS5 wheel used for sighting looks lost......Andy reckoning on up to a 10.5 and a lot wider track

I've got the same 20"/9 wheels on my S5,they are a large wheel but as you say they look lost with those new arches.

Probably a lot to do with it being lifted so high too that makes em look small
Will prob stick with 20s if advice says to do so. Both Andy who's say so is final on the technical and build and Dave on the brakes have both said 19s prob best but 20s at a push for the handling and ride...
I wanted 21s but then I would !!

Excuse my ignorance but who is the brake bloke Dave ?
I have read a lot about him on here . sounds like a very clever mush... him and 45!
Which is a very good thing for the rest of us on here !

David I believe works with a lot of the vag racing fraternities, with some great success in getting their cars set up right for the track in terms of brake, steering, drive train geometry and components that work and are fit for purpose

Well for anyone wanting to upgrade their brakes via VAGbremTechnic there is now the template for the RS3 disc bell housing.
Mine will fit the promised R8 GT racer ones posted before Xmas with the Aston Martin Calipers that are going to be painted Lambo Orange along wi some detail on the body too
5 shades of orange I've looked at on pics forums sites and charts but all show a different colour so it's a trip to Stockport on Friday to do a bit of creeping to see the shades direct

Finally chosen the Orange for the detailing and highlighting on the body and the caliper colour.....Lamborghini Ishtar.....it's deeper and more red than the usual pearlescent Atlas and Borealis....
Didn't trust the so called colour chart sites so went to the dealership in Stockport......OMFG little white wee time !! Had to look cool and disinterested in the cars to avoid looking ridiculous
Saying that the parts exec was really helpful and got out the poshest colour cases imaginable and discussed the colours and project with me
Had more Info and updates from the the brake master David Brown....even sent me the the tech data on the discs ( wish I'd listened more in school now, and prob would have had it been this interesting)

Not a lot to report on the build of late.....I believe the main emphasise is getting the bodykit to fit perfectly and all lines to be accurate and spot on.
Brakes are underway now and all the calipers are being totally re-furbed, prepped, painted, lacquered and decaled in the Lambo colour chosen....it takes along time for the paint to bake at a given temperature and is a long process
Fronts are Aston Martin Vantage 6 pots (very light)
Rears are Porsche Boxter 4 pots
Handbrake caliper is Ferarri I'm led to believe
To get the drive and sterring geometry correct and to have more durable components the car is having TT & TTRS front driveshafts, hubs and steering rack plus a few other odds and sods
At the rear PSI Have sourced a TT rear axle and we will be using the drive shafts and hubs
On both front and rear certain brackets and housings will need to be made to facilitate the brakes
RS3 bearings will be retained as I'm told these are stronger than the TT due to the increase angle of driveshaft in the 3 which will be less when using the longer TT ones......and should give I'm told about 30mm additional track per wheel
I will also have for sale RS3 components removed and the Haldex and other bits left over from the Axle buy
Soon as I have any pics or posts I'll get them on here
