Some of the plastics have had the hydro-dipping completed
A lot of the plastics have the soft touch finish on them that has to come off first and is proving very troublesome.....lot of research done but no easy solution.....if coarse sandblasting doesn't work (fine didn't touch it) or some kind of heat removal then back to the drawing boardAttached File  image.jpg   72.68K   26 downloadsAttached File  image.jpg   111.42K   22 downloads

Did you have to remove the metal strip on the door sill's or did they just mask them up?

Masked them up mate which is a winner I think......got a load more bits that have been carefully sand blasted to remove the soft touch material. They've been fun and may still not work for the primer to stick to....hoping we've cracked it though

Young guy that that is doing the dipping is a real quiet perfectionist and I'm loving what he's done.....I've had him do a lot of paintwork on one of t'other cars and a company one I flogged...spot on job.
Hes also spent ages painting old wings for me in all sorts of colours and finishes for the RS to help me decide. I've begged him paint the full car too when it's ready, but he refuses bless him, cos of all the fibreglass filler and adaptations

Think the underside needs about 5L of POR 15 spraying on it to keep it tip top till I sing my swan song lol

Wow, this looks awesome! I've got to say though I'm not sure on the rear arches, they don't seem to flow into the rear bumper too well, just my opinion though and I'm wrong a lot!  I love the front end though, wow that looks aggressive!

Is the engine out currently getting some treatment?

It's a bit wierd the thread for this is under tuning and mods now and not new users but some of my posts link onto here too so I often don't see them..... Have a look under Mad transformation build

Ryes3 what you are seeing there is work in progress with the rear bumper just hung in place not fitted......Andy at PSI has spent an eternity making up and fitting self made pieces to replace some of the fibre glass bits he's not happy with where the arch goes into the rear door.......expected fitting and detailing for the body is estimated at 200 hours + so lot to do yet
Who knows how it's going to look finished.....lit bloody scary TBH !!

Yeh orange all the way lol

Hi Pat - I see from your list of parts/components there is nothing for oil pressure/circulation and oil cooler? What boost pressure are you expecting to run for 700 bhp? I assume this will be from the 2.5 ltr engine - so you will be expecting to be running very high boost/oil pressures = v.high temps? Also no head gasket type listed. Would be interested in what your strategy is?
