Seriously impressive figures, Guess that S-Tronic has a lot to answer for in the TTRS and RS3 then!

I hope you don't mind if I add APR stage 2 figures around 420-430bhp depending on the dyno. We also do not charge for stage 2 upgrades for existing customers.
Regarding performance: S-Tronic TTRS customers are running upwards of 3.1second 0-60 times on street tyres and we just had a stage 2 customer put down an 11.51@117mph at York Raceway over the weekend.
I'd love to see what some of our RS3 customers are doing at the strip!
That's if an APR franchise can actually unlock the RS3 ECU eh Evan rather than having to send it away to you at APR UK HQ??

Not sure what you mean--performance figures exist independently of distribution
We have 12 distributors in the UK, 10 of them have the tools to do this on site. The ones that don't are getting them in the next few weeks.

Performance figures don't mean a lot if the software to achieve the figures can't be introduced....
Nice to hear that all of your franchises will soon have the tools necessary to do this work, just a pity that the impression given was that they all already had it. For me a slight blot on a promising product when there are so many questionable reputations and figures around presently surrounding the mapping of these ECU's.
I guess what we RS3 owners are looking for is a tuner that can offer a clear, transparent product where all the pro's and con's are clearly listed and people know what they are getting for their money. I appreciate it is a niche car / product but one would hope between the RS3's and TT-RS's someone will step up and could potentially clean up in this field.

My fault. I presume your'e talking about our exhange on ASN. Aside from those two, I expected you to go through me to handle your flashing arrangements, which I would have made any lacking distributor prepare for ahead of time . I did, however, recommend Automotive Solutions that does have all of the tools, so I'm not sure who you may have contacted that didn't.
I apologise for any trouble it may have caused you. Still waiting for your list for a group buy

Evan, one of the forum members here had first hand exposure to this with one of your agents. Franchise agent said it could be done by them; car was taken in and then advised after trying several times it could not be done and the ECU needed to be sent away with a myriad of excuses as to why it was the ECU and not their fault and no apology.
It has the potential to damage fragile confidence in an area of tuning which has a lot of people claiming things but not backing this up with tangible data.
HTH.

Of course. I spent today addressing his concerns, and we've made new arrangements for his remap, so all should be back to order
I appreciate the community aspect of your comments here though. Glad to see RS3 guys look out for each other.
If anybody here ever has any questions, comments, or concerns you feel aren't being addressed appropriately, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at elight@goapr.com anytime.

Interesting to see that Mattchaps only made 385bhp with stage 1 when Anakins TTRS is making 412bhp or there about's with stage 1, Milltek 2nd cats.
So really he's gained around just 11bhp extra from including an exhaust and intake.... poor BHP for the cost !
I saw Matt's video of him and a mate having a spirited drive.
The Stage 1 TTRS DSG actually ended up overtaking his Stage 2 manual TTRS..... Says something for DSG too !
I might have to get the RS3 stage 1 tuned just in the name of science!
416.9 to be exact but they were measured on diffrent Dyno's on diffrent days so you can't compare them. + A manual car is easier to Dyno.
Spoke to Andy @ Storm Developments today, he was saying his stage 2 420bhp Stronic TT RS was faster then his 488bhp Hybrid turbo manual. Almost regret not holding out a little longer for a S tronic, but I do enjoy driving it and it really is fast enough already
I am thinking of a stage 1 re-map but i am worried about warranty on the car. I am blonde and a woman this i know, so it maybe a stupid question, but if this was done wouldnt it invalidate the warranty?

Technically yes it voids the warranty.
It'll be untraceable unless they go looking for it apparently.
Sounds like a risk worth taking though!

This is true.
If you're worried about your warranty, despite all of the safeguards and program switching technology out there, the best way to stay under the radar would be to get your car flashed back to stock completely before handing over the keys to your dealership. This service is FOC to all APR customers at their local authorised agent.
Evan, perhaps you would be kind enough to list all of your agents that have the capability of mapping the RS3 on site as opposed to them having to send the ECU to you at APR HQ to unlock and program? You mentioned previously there are some agents who do not have the right equipment as yet?

How much is the APR stage 1? Are you saying a remap would be done in a day?
Hey Klauster, our software for the 2.5TFSI is 699+VAT
http://www.goapr.co....5tfsi_ttrs.html
Yes, it can be done in a day. It's an ECU out/open operation so it can take a little time depending on the workload of the installer.
Hope this helps!
And here was I hoping that since APR were a site sponsor there may be some forum member discount available on APR maps........
