Ah - I thought that was a cloud reflection.

I am surprised that you could do that much damage with a 3000 rpm machine - either the paint is really soft / thin or you must have been going for it!

Do you ever get that frustrated with the RS, that you just want to smash it to pieces with a lump hammer? No, just me then. I'm no happyier with these alloys than I was before I started them. The finish just isnt right 😡

I’m always finding something else to clean/repaint, it really can be frustrating but they are hard to keep pristine if you use them!

I spent a couple of hours cleaning exhaust tips this morning, they could probably do with re-chroming....

You've done well with that. Patience is definitely the key.
I've managed to get 3 of the wheel (1 I've had to repaint) flatter and polished. 2 of them I can accept with my unofficial OCD. The 3rd might need repainting or at least a little more time polishing.

Think the wheels look very shiny!

It took a while to do the tips, there’s some more scratches to sort when I have some more time and patience to do them!

I think raptor was pointing out that the bells for the brake discs could do with some attention

They're getting there. I'm still debating the silver lips. I think they're missing them. 'Er in doors prefers them all black. I have a decision to make. You've more patience than me then, the one you've done looks bang on and you can hardly see them when fitted. That is dedication

The fitted photo is when they were both finished, I didn’t take the photo at the best of angles as one is better than the other.

It’s a hard choice between all black and silver bits as well, I can’t really comment on which looks better as I’m not a fan of black wheels personally but maybe they would look good with some highlights of some description

Oooooo they look ace. They dont appear to be that type of material on mine though. I replaced them about 5 months ago. They came in an almost dull finish.

And a mini dual action.
Or you can use a normal sized DA with small pads.

Metal polish is by hand mate - a bit of elbow grease is what is required.

God knows where Sean got the wavy disk photos from - not from his FL car unless he is a sucker for punishment.

My PFL car mate.

Smallest pads I had and it didn’t take that long either.

FL discs are a blander looking affair with a paint finish.

I did the rears on my FL the hard way
But sadly without a sprayed on finish they don’t last even if sealed.
So I just went and bought the Brembo rears instead as they are painted a dark grey and it lasts
