I'm actually quite tempted, longer term, to relocate the turbo next to the fuse box (right hand side of engine bay); have a custom exhaust manifold made, and move the intake to the left hand side. Does anyone have any data showing the effect of radiated heat from the turbine on the intake pipe that goes over the top of the turbo?

Erm, please elaborate on how this would work ?

I admire your imagination but would that be practical (the heat management on closely located parts) or even cost effective considering there is no guarantee of actually gaining any benefits from doing it?.........I have seen turbo relocation on various race cars/drift cars that have vents carved in the bonnet for air intakes and heat management and maybe straight thru exhausts located under the sill on one side of the car but that would not be aesthetically pleasing on a daily driver.

Could cut a hole in the bonnet and have it poking out, ala Mad Max Charger style

I'm guessing you've not accounted for the probable increase in turbo lag due to the turbo being further away from the engines exhaust ports ?

Dell.

Anyone have a stock 8P that we can do an additional trial fitment on?

Bazf - will do mate

Xtreme - Eventuri are in Luton, is that anywhere near you?

Scooter - the rapid prototype will be ready in about 2 weeks time; they’ll do a fit test, some dyno runs, and then start making the carbon version
