Really? That storm that hit at around 2pm followed me all the way to Peterborough - I was delighted to be in the RS3 - it is the King of the Road in the wet - all the other cars were all over the place or crawling along at 30 - it had little effect on my nail. If you actually took it out for a blast in various conditions your eyes would be opened!
The RS is an awsome foul weather car to drive 😁
Even giving it full beans in sport turning left out of AITP onto the flooded main road was without incident as noticed by my nephew in the passenger seat.😆

I’m afraid the RS is tucked up now until the next bout of Sunshine.Fancy venturing down to Bedford in a month Sean - it will blow the cobwebs away?
This is nothing like ASN - we are talking about taking the cars for a blast mate - ignore the lost souls!
Expect to see that in 3 years time.

Sean - behave! Accept the loss of ASN and move on....

I was talking to a fellow RS3 owner today, he did point out something and he may be right, owners forums like ASN offer little to nothing, most that post have little or no knowledge of how their car actually works.
It used to be a place of sharing interesting car related ideas or when someone had tried a different product and it was better than OEM.
Now it seems if you say anything about another member when they are talking utter crap, you are a demon and must be purged, even when you are pointing out factually correct information, it’s not enough, they’d sooner listen to the type of member that talks the big talk, yet never really uses their RS because it’s sat in the garage as a home for the spiders.

These people that say “I’m keeping the RS for 20 years” yet only drive it for 2 months in total of that period

Me, I’d sooner have the enjoyment of driving the car everyday for 3/4/5 years, changing things I think need improvement, discussing said changes with like minded individuals, yes it’ll pick up stone chips along the way, no doubt, but hey ho that’s life as they say.
I’ve got a van besides the RS / GTD and it never moves unless I need it for work, screw that, what’s the point of having a stallion and driving a donkey every day.
All because you are worried the Stallion May get hurt / break something / get wet......... bonkers.

I totally agree mate - now is the time for release to creep in - you don't have to enter the house of fools again. Time for the feeling of relief to creep in.
I know from my time there you have contributed with quality comments heavily (as I did in my far more brief membership) but it was all for nought - I rarely / if ever even look at that site anymore and am none the worse for it.

Not everybody uses their cars in the same way.
Enjoy your track day all

Spot on - the value is heading to zero sooner or later - why not enjoy it at it's prime? Looking at second hand values even the mileage doesn't drop it much - PFL RS3s 40,000 miles may be £750/£1k less than a 6,000 mile model - if that doesn't encourage you to go out there and give it the beans I don't know what will.
I dropped £48k of cash buying this car and intend to hold it until something better comes along with the thought that, given the current direction of travel with cars, will probably be never. I drive it like I stole it all of the time and have never had so much fun in a car (the mapped 335D I had runs it close - better than the M4 that car).
Moved to the boonies in part to enjoy the car at full chat even more.
