That got you thinking.

Like dog with a bone mate.

Dell.

The thing is Dell.....

I prefer to understand what a change like that would do to the car in terms of how it reacts/behaves on the road..

Otherwise i wouldn't change anything.....

Agreed Audi have done all the working out for us owners irrelevant off we think we know better.

Who's to say how the software in the ESP will react to in this case over size rear disc in any particular situation ? 🤔

So is it the calliper or the disc that has the advantage? I’m still only on bigger rear disc on stock calliper so wonder if it has the same advantages

Jay.

The bigger discs will give better braking leverage due to the increase in size & the APs being a 4 pot design & more pad area will give more clamping pressure till the ABS kicks in.

Your tyres have a big factor in all this due to friction as rubbish one will lock earlier.

What I've seen from my own experiences are the back discs & pads didn't get too distressed at Castle Combe last year unlike the fronts as the fronts do the majority off the braking.

With an over size disc set up they just wouldn't work as hard as the standard set up & could bring in the ABS sooner under heavy braking due to there increase in power.

Sean.

Too be honest last year I was looking at going 355mm rears but the cost out weight the really world gains for me.

Also I'll loose the use off my space saver which is off real world use to me.😊

It's a great car that's been well looked after and has all the right tuning bits on it. Only thing I would change is the Redstuff pads that's fitted with the Alcon discs, they are not really compatible with the Alcon's but the previous owner never drove it that hard to cause the blueing/polishing that these pads do to the disc when used hard.

He has a new FL car now but is really missing the great sound the decat and Milltek catback makes on the PFL car.

now driving a 'Daytona Lite' FL car.

Can't get in to FS section for some reason!
Anyhoo if you were at RS3 fest last year you would have seen them. Don't have the 3 now and they won't fit the 4 so may as well go to a good home ;)
Incl all the brackets etc and HEL brake lines. Fits straight on the 8V PFL. To be aware barely a *** packet between caliper and front wheel so needs very thin weights on the front re balancing.
Half the price I paid, I kid ye not.
£3425.

As the buyer pointed out, funds needed to sort out the sound on mine ;)
