And it's blue, what's not to like...    :)    Happy days, Graeme, happy days; if you've earned it then go enjoy it; no pockets in shrouds.

Is that black optics or the carbon pack? Hard to tell in the photos but it almost looks like the top lip of the rear diffuser is a different colour to the rest of the diffuser.

Full carbon exterior pack including wing mirrors. Also dynamic pack plus and sports exhaust were the main options ticked and I'm happy with that.

Oh yes, I didn't spot those ceramic brakes!!!

Carbon pack is 4.5K, mirrors are another 1.5k and dynamic pack plus is about £10k. Somebody spent a lot of money on options on that car!!

Plus the £1k on sports exhaust and a few other bits; it was plugging in all the bits into the configurator a six figure plus car list with I guess some discount, no way could I have bought it new!

But between the price I did secure it for and current interest rates vs. what the '3 was on PCP wise I'm not paying much more than I was for my '3 so it was a no brainer, especially when the price will be the same if not less than what I would spec an RS3 saloon for if indeed it appears next year.

Went out for the day with the family in it yesterday and it has their seal of approval so I get to keep it. It does have so much more presence and a lot more positive comments from people as well.

Graeme

Are you used to the size yet ?

I still find parking and manoeuvring it still hard to get used to after driving in a hatchbacks for the last 5 years

I just pick the biggest space I can find, hard relying on the front / reverse cameras though, I still prefer to look outside at what I'm doing.

I had to disable the auto handbrake on feature when opening the door. That was really annoying.
If you don't like the start stop you can change the setting so it remembers the last position so once you turn it off it stays off unless you want it on again, unlike normal where it is always on when you start the car. I also inverted the light on the button so it lights up when it's on rather than when off.

HUD is not far off 2k too.

HUD seemingly is standard on facelift cars but some HUD functionality is cost option, think I have the basic one. Not had a problem with auto handbrake TBH and start stop can be disabled by dash button if necessary but it's not too intrusive.

It's going to take a while to get used to but slowly getting there.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to take any pics having been delayed in getting to the dealership by public transport but today I picked up this;

Big thanks to Roy for meeting up and he has a heap of photos on the car. Had the journey back home to get to grips with it and one of the immediate things..... the brakes are SO much better. Makes a good noise as well and to top it all off;

It does similar mpg to the '3 and only used 2/3 of a tank from Bexley to Newcastle!

One of the few DAB stations that is consistent in strength that I can listen to from London to the North East that I like!
