dropped to 5 bars in mine when we first got to the line up area and showed half a tank (4 bars) after the 3rd run, but heading back home afterwards, the bars just seem to drop like a stone, hence I slowed on the M25 as my distance to destination was v close to miles in tank remaining.

I think we can safely say, from the SRR result (highest of 6) and your Santa Pod 12.1 run, decat does work. Nice cheap mod! I'm interested, but not decided yet due to disconnected valves (otherwise rattly when connected).

Worth the money! I only got them for the sound so its a win win for everyone.

I'm going to bring this thread to a close, from my perspective, with regards to owning the MTM M-Cantronic.

I'm not going over in detail anything said already but will finish off by putting across my opinion and the opinion from QST.

I personally feel that the MTM box, from new was working perfectly well and as intended, but at some point something went wrong and became faulty, this left the box producing only a small amount of torque and minimal HP gain over my stock figure- one of those things, no ones fault or to blame, it can happen. In my opinion.

QST insist my engine is the item at fault, by being low on stock power from the factory and nothing wrong with the MTM box not giving me the advertised gains.

End of the day, we have agreed on a return/part refund of the box. Acceptable customer service in that regard after around 10 months of use.


This is only my experience and by all accounts, not reflective on any other customer of QST or MTM.

Oh well.... a bit disappointing but at least you know your car is working ok from the SP runs. Maybe the box had a fault after being hooked up for 10 months or the ECU just found a way to 'overrule it'.

Well if it were not for this i would have never of met any of you guys! I am always up for another meet at the pod (maybe with better RT times next time!) Ill get right on it 

 

I also think our ECU's are smart enough to override these boxes and such, maybe these cars are just better stock.

 

Very happy to hear QST have agreed on a refund! Would have doubted them if they didn't.

this is my experience with MTM Cantronic. Up to 5,000 rpm 5 kgm more torque. The max power is the same.
