Lunch at portmeirion.

 

Here are the starters:

• Soup of the day with chunky sourdough
• Confit chicken leg terrine with toasted brioche, onion chutney and balsamic
• Smoked haddock and leek gratin with mixed salad
• Crispy Bury black pudding with roasted asparagus and broad beans
• Warm salad of beetroot and goat’s cheese with pine nuts and balsamic

Here are the main menu choices :

• Striploin of Welsh beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables
• Braised Welsh lamb ‘Henry’, creamed potatoes, carrots and swede
• Crispy belly pork, mustard mash, apple, baby carrots and spinach
• Supreme of chicken, spring onion and garlic potatoes, savoy cabbage and pancetta with a tarragon cream sauce
• Savoury pancake cannelloni filled with mushroom, tarragon and broccoli with a Parmesan and rocket salad
• Beer battered fish with hand cut chips, crushed peas and tartar sauce
• Fillet of salmon, herb potato, roasted fennel, broccoli and a dill cream sauce

  and here are the desserts:

• Castell Deudraeth banoffee pie with banana daiquiri
• Castell Deudraeth steamed sponge pudding with crème Anglaise
• Treacle tart with vanilla ice cream
• Lemon meringue tart Eton mess
• Chocolate and Cointreau panacotta, poached pear and shortbread
• Roasted pineapple with chilli syrup, and a lemon and lime sorbet
• Orange and almond cake with vanilla and honeycomb mascarpone
• Selection of Portmeirion gelato and sorbet (choose any 3: vanilla, chocolate orange, strawberry, Penderyn Welsh whisky, Kraken rum & rasin, caramel & halen Môn sea salt, lemon sorbet)

Most people are going for two courses (£19.95) either starter / main or main / dessert.  Please let Robinsky know what you want as soon as you are able as we need to confirm by 29/5.
