Think you lose the option of valves in the exhaust so comfort/dynamic won't affect the noise

The RS3 exhaust has two valves in it to work with the standard incar exhaust adjustment.  came from AMD this morning.

All good then! With that discount it's cheaper than the sports exhaust isn't it? Have the secondary decats done while you're at it 😈

Is it me or is the millek sound on the video missing the burble on up shift that you get from the OEM sports exhaust?

When using launch control you won't get the fart/burp on upshift

Shame, I like a good fart when launching :)

What about when generally driving hard in dynamic mode?

While i do agree its not a massive cost compared to them, look at the Focus RS cost of £750 for a catback, the system is similar design (large rear box) The only reason i was thinking of going Milltek was to get the sports exhaust noise cheaper than Audi want me to pay for a system, when actually its cheaper to go the sports exhaust. Being fussy now aren't i.... lol maybe i should have held off for a car WITH sports exhaust.

Maybe i'll just be a cheapskate and get the secondary cat bypass until a sports exhaust comes up. (Yep wifey wont let me spend £1500 on an exhaust when we are trying to get the extension approved)

Is the Ford made up of a single pipe to a backbox? The RS3 has 2 pipes doesn't it? Twice as much exhaust maybe? I don't know the answer in this case but generally 2 branch Milltek exhausts cost twice the price of single branch Milltek exhaust.

Does the RS3 have a centre resonator? I find chopping this out is normally a good way of improving the sound for minimal cost.

Good point that I hadn't thought of if honest. Yes the ford was single from memory, still only one expensive rear box tho but with facilities to accommodate the exhaust valves. Hopefully I'll be one of the first ones delivered and we can see what it's like 🙃

If the Sports Exhaust is mild in comparison then I dread to think how loud their system is then!!!!

Yeah but we're does loud become loud ? Haha we all think the sports Audi one is loud enough , Milltek think its mild ?

Kms are usually quite loud judging by the thunder storm on the focus rs !

I really can't believe that as I've not heard such a loud engine / exhaust this side of a supercar. You have to be outside the car though to get the best of it as the insulation is so good that it's seriously muted from inside. With the window cracked open it's better but still not as good as listening to someone else drive past.
