Thanks for the info Evan. Naively I sort of assumed that a RR was a requirement for a remap? Else, how can you be sure it's running correctly?

So what's the update on your map MacD? How are you finding it? Catnip, has your's started feeling more like it should with more torques?

Tried to get mine done today..

Had it RR'd and it is at 336Bhp (just has panel filter). But unfortunately they didn't have the ECU flashing device, just an OBD lead. So got no further... :(

Possibility of a DSG remap in the pipeline though. Hubba, hubba!

I thought it was, but the guy at the trackday on Monday had one of his engines remapped by APR and mentioned a DSG remap was coming - but it might be someone else doing the DSG part.. I've PM'd Evan, about it..

Awesome GTI, dynos are for vanity if you ask me, its the way the car drives that matters and it pulls like a train, I will dyno it to make sure all is well, but i'm happy with it

Dyno's can have their uses, particularly for insurers which is pretty much the only reason I'm having mine pre and post dynoed to ensure the power increase is within the threshold my insurer has set. On the whole though unless everyone had their dyno's done on the same day on the same dyno under the same conditions then you are right, thereis not much exact science about it.

I insured based on the APR stated figures, I doubt I'll have anything extra :)

My insurance only wanted to know if it caused less than a 20% increase in bhp. So factoring in the difference between current tune which includes cat bypass and filter and what the remap adds I have to ensure that is what happens. If APR's stage I figures are correct I shouldn't have any issues either.

Can anyone with APR software tell me if they have left foot braking please?
